A convenient overnight stopPosted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels
It's a great safe location and perfect for an overnight stop, so far in the middle of Norfolk nowhere, we couldn't get a O2 mobile signal. It's a charming pub and the locals are friendly. Our Tudor room was charming and clean. The shared bathroom is exactly that. It is shared with all the other guests and the owner! I suppose that country dwellers are early risers which presumably is why, unlike most places I've stayed in, Breakfast finishes at 9am even on a Sunday.

Accueil très sympathiquePosted Aug 24, 2014 on Hotels
Tout était très bien mais l'hôtel ne se trouve pas à Norwich comme on pourrait le croire mais à 40 km de là...

Perfect!Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Fantastically comfy bed, not cheap mattress, airy and spacious room. Excellently clean and attention to detail. Great host! Lovely food!
Cons: Was absolutely brilliant!
Location: Location in little historic village idyllic setting, had a walk round pretty village did not explore other things to do due to reason for stay!
We had booked to stay over for one night to attend a family celebration. We were welcomed warmly by John who showed us to a spacious room, fresh and clean with a most welcoming tray ready to make our teas and coffees. The shower room was clean and spacious with complimentary show gels and shampoo and clean towels. Later that evening we went downstairs and chatted to John who recommended a local beer, and excellent landlord and host! We chose from a widely varied menu covering choices for all and variations of potatoes vegetables and salads and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed a mixed grill and a mousaka with side salads and potatoes along with a choice of vegetables. Very tasty and piping hot! The cooked breakfast and cereals the next morning was equally delicious and hot too! John a font of all knowledge of the area and helped us with simple directions for our visit to Burry St Edmonds on the Saturday and suggested other lovely places along the route to visit! We said our good byes and hoped we would be able to stay there again on our visit to Suffolk!

Quaint little country innPosted Apr 28, 2014
Nice to stay in a historical 500 year plus inn full of character and sloping ceilings and floors. Owner was very cheerful and courteous. When me and my wife showed up hungry, tired, 2 hours late at almost 10 pm on a Saturday night expecting nothing to be available he headed into the kitchen and cooked us supper. A great place to stay that made out weekend getaway to Norwich memorable.

Tiny hotel in middle of nowhere!Posted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: comfy beds, WiFi
Cons: Tv in room. If there's nothing else to do, there could at least be a working tv
Location: nothing! A tiny rural village in middle of nowhere
Booked this hotel last minute. In all fairness it was a sweet b&b but it was in the middle of nowhere and I felt v alone. The bathroom was shared but had lots of other peoples toiletries in. The tv didn't work. The bed was comfy and WiFi worked so this saved me. If you like v quiet rural b&b then this might be for you, but I won't be rushing back to return.

Not my cup of tea.Posted Mar 5, 2013
Booked this quickly and forgot how much on suite is needed. Food was good, but didn't like the uneven floors. Not for me but others may love that oldy worldly feel.
