Easy option in Burnt PinesPosted Feb 23, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed Feb 2015. Rooms 11 (twin) and 13 (queen)- comfortable, recently renovated. Hotel is well located, can walk to local RSL club and restaurants. Pool looked inviting but too windy to try. Did not eat in hotel. Parking is located a distance from rooms. Definitely need car on NI!

Nice hotel close to centre of townPosted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Great swimming pool, good breakfast, excellent room cleaning service, close to everything (except beach)
Cons: Provide a folder with information for customers in their room. Provide a menu for that night's dinner options so one knows whether to book or not. Let
Location: Located near the centre of all the shops and many of the restaurants and cafes. Close to the tour companies and info office - in the middle of the isl
We enjoyed our stay at South Pac Hotel Resort with 3 days of glorious sun followed by 4 days of rain and showers. The pool and hot tub were the best on the island. Unfortunately the hotel was no more than one third full so the restaurant and lunch service were not running properly - we went out for lunch and dinner every day and went to a different cafe and restaurant every time in 7 days - all within walking distance. Like everyone else we hired a car to get to other parts of the island - especoially Kingston for the historic relics and museums and the sea swimming and fantastic snorkelling among the corals in Emily Bay.

Great for the family.Posted Sep 23, 2014 on Hotels
The staff were really friendly and the rooms were clean. The location was great as it was only 5 mins walk to "town". There is plenty of grassy areas for the kids to run around on. The pool looked clean and the breakfast was sufficient.

Great location, near shops and RSLPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The staff, the restaurant and breakfast. Food there was excellent.
Cons: The lights in the room especially the ones over the beds were very dim and impossible to read with.
Location: Right in Burnt Pine, plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and the RSL is right opposite. Recommend the tours, especially a night as a convict.
Warmly greeted on arrival. Friendly management and staff, great breakfast bar and restaurant. Excellent facilities and great location

There was a considerable amount of refurbishment going on with the noise of diggers, nail guns etc.

Location, locationPosted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Location, price and tranquillity.
Cons: Promotional material on what the resort has to offer at reception and in the room compendium, e.g. car hire, picnic hampers, restaurant menu, etc.
Location: Town, Burnt Pine, centrally located & short walking distance to resort. Other activities like bush walking, swimming, tours need a car or pre-arranged
Resort located in an excellent location with typical amenities found at a resort. Resort service very good and people generally warm and welcoming. Package deals with combined airfare and accommodation very good value. Highly recommend Norfolk Island as a place to relax and escape from the Rat race and daily technology interruptions.

Spacious rooms overlooking gardens, close to shopsPosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful; but not in the fake way you sometimes find with hotel staff. They were just nice people and it showed.
Cons: The dinner menu could do with more variety, although that would not be a problem if you ate out of the hotel on one of the regular dinner tours.
Location: The location is perfect. Most shops and facilities are in Burnt Pine, which is centrally placed in the island.
The rooms and common facilities were very spacious and comfortable. Very quiet. Nice green surroundings. Eateries and shops were only a few minutes walk away. It's a place for relaxing and as a base for sightseeing. There is no nightclub or entertainment at night, but that suits me exactly. I think thumping music would spoil the ambience.
