“Unimpressed”

Hotel had remodleing going on heard the jackhammer 2 floors above. Front desk staff was warm and welcoming but the overall stay was mundane. For winter rates were not that great and I would not return just due to the overall condition of the room.

“Better than expected”

Booked a King room with jacuzzi overlooking the ocean as a last minute weekend getaway. Did not know what to expect based on reviews but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Staff at check-in and check-out were friendly and helpful. Room was one of the partially renovated ones but was clean and as pictured. The kitchenette was fully stocked with all that is needed so did not have to bring a thing. The bathroom is small but the price to pay for a large jacuzzi. The beach at this site and the neighboring site have large spots that light up the beach at night. Good for safety but could not leave the curtains open while sleeping. You are closer to the inlet than the pier so foot traffic is lighter. BIke rental right on site. Good restaurant right next door with great ocean view dining. Overall pleasant stay.

“A pleasant place to stay (:”

We were looking for a nice oceanfront hotel that wasn't overpriced for a 2 night stay at Virginia Beach. The reviews were a bit startling at first until we saw the more recent ones. Our hotel turned out to be much better than expected. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The indoor and outdoor pools were small but they were never crowded, plus there was a hot tub and a kiddy pool which our kids enjoyed (: Next time we go for a quick trip at Virginia beach I think we will stay here again

Dining

Right next door attached to the Ramada is a great resturant called Mahi Mah's. We had dinner and lunch there and it was one of the best places I've ever eaten at! The waiters were friendly and our food was brought to our table in no time. When you go at night there is live entertainment outside so I would recommend eating on the patio

“Decent Stay, but room for improvement”

This hotel had numerous bad ratings which made us a little skeptical...but all in all our stay was just fine. Yeah, the parking deck is a little tight, and the rooms are a little noisy, and they are likey to try and sell you a timeshare in their properties, but the convience of "oceanfront" rooms w/balconies, good location, concierge service, and other ammenities made the visit a good one.

“so-so”

The bed was not that comfortable. We had no towels in the room. The light over the kitchen area was missing so it was pretty dark at night. The staff was nice, however.

“Loving VA Beach”

We've stayed at Ocean Beach Club and Beach Quarters, both of the same timeshare company. OBC is newer and fancier with a great outdoor and indoor pool, however, Beach Quarters has a hot tub and ocean front rooms which we were told at OBC you could not get unless you are a timeshare owner. Beach Quarters also has bike rentals on the property and free parking. The garage is VERY tight so beware if you have a larger vehicle.

Dining

Our favorite place in Virginia Beach is Abbey Road. Best steamed shrimp and crab legs.

“Please, be advised, do not choose this hotel !!”

When I arrived there after a long drive I was dreaming to rest with my family on the beach in a luxury (at least, clean and decent) resort, considering the price I paid ... instead, I found an extremely poor service and an unbelievably awful room ! The pictures on the web site don't correspont to what you'll find. Nobody came to help us with the luggage and I didn't find a luggage cart. The bedroom of the two queen "suite" is with no windows!! It is small, uncomfortable and old. Besides all these, it is also not clean. I asked a crib, and I received it smelling of cheese and smoked bacon! At least the ocean view is fine, if you have a window, and the personnel at the reception is kind. I fight to be moved, I personally find an accomodation in another facility of the group this resort belong to ... after three days I was able to move out from Beach Quarters and I felt as I escaped from the hell.

Area recommendations

Across the street from the Beach Quarters there'e the Turtle Cay Resort, it is amazing.

“Not Impressed”

You are urged to enter the hotel via the garage -- not the most elegant entry! Also the pool appeared closed due to renovations -- surely this should have meant a percent off the room charge.
