We had a very pleasant stay at Comfort Suites. The parking & check in were easy and the suite was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the young man who worked in the dining area. He was pleasant, friendly & went out of his way to be helpful to us as well as the other diners.

The elevators was not working properly. One elevator that we used did not have a certificate of operation. We were told we couldn’t use top floors because the elevator was not working. The first room we were given was dirty. Walls and floors. They gave us another room which was ok. Furniture was worn. We covered couch with a sheet. The breakfast was excellent. Chris Grant was the best cook Great personality to address all our needs. Seems the hotel needs attention to clean up. Hallways were dirty. Would not return.

This hotel worked great for a two night get away! It's nothing fancy and you kind of know that going into it. The room was pretty basic and outdated, but the bed was comfort and view was really nice from the 9th floor. Chris at breakfast was fantastic. The vibes were excellent, as was the food! Worth it for breakfast alone!

The best part about the stay was breakfast
The stay was ok the hotel was old it had one elevator working the room was decent the best part of staying there was the breakfast it was really good Chris was a great host very friendly the potatoes were the best! I would give the breakfast crew a 10 for excellent!!

Staff was nice room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was we could hear the people next door being loud but this was at no fault of the Hotel. Just wish sound proofing was better but overall it was a good stay breakfast was great the cook was fun and friendly. Food was amazing!!!!

The room was definitely overpriced, the quality and the space of the room was old. One elevator was broken the entire time. October 14th, me and some friends were stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes. We kept calling the front desk and no one answered. We had to call the police since the front desk was not answering. After the 10 minutes passed the elevator door opened by itself. Later that night, we saw a lady at the front desk and told her what happened, she pretty much shrugged it off. Horrible experience.

The one thing however is that in on the boardwalk in front of the hotel there is a lot of homeless people sitting there so you have to pass them on the way out to the beach. They don’t bother you but still… the guy in the dining area for breakfast was soooo nice..

I was located on the 4th floor and it was raining inside of the hotel walkway the hallway is dark an needs more lighting there was a chair in the hallway and dead bugs the pool area doesnt look the same as the picture so that should be updated

The staff did a great job, especially the kitchen staff getting breakfast buffet items out when they ran out on items. The hotel itself is n need of being modernized since it is dated. Also the gym area looked like it hadn’t been clean in at least a week. The trash was over flowing and out on the floor. The windows were in desperate need of cleaning. The gym equipment needed cleaning - the treadmill on the left had dust on the front belt cover. There was no cups for the water. The treadmill on the right was in a foreign language and I couldn’t change it.

This is my 4th time staying at this property. The Property is old, over the years I kept waiting for repairs that haven’t happens. This year was the last straw. Only one of the two elevators were working, pool area was unkept, restaurant food was bland. Raised the rate because of the event - which is understandable - sold out the hotel but could not provide quality guest service. Will not stay there again.

The good: larger rooms and breakfast The bad: Room not available at check-in time Room did not have bedding for the extra bed knowing reservation was for 4 individuals. Moldy shower and shower curtain. Homeless who have set up shop on boardwalk in front of this hotel, even tents on the beach. Obvious drug use, dealing and fights right in front of their hotel…it was a enough trying to explain the drug induced zombie and crazed like behavior to my kids, but being afraid my kids would step on dirty needles (not to mention the trash) in front of this hotel on beach was disgusting. One elevator not working leaving one elevator for the entire hotel. Washer/dryer down so linens weren’t available. This hotel and VA Beach need to clean their act up, together, to ensure a safe, clean, family friendly environment for all who are your actual revenue.

Hate to complain but only one elevator was working took 20 minutes most of the time to get one. Was told that I had to find house keeping to get towels. There is 11 floors. Took two days to find towels. We had to buy some across the street. Rocky I believe he is maintenance who closed the pool at night etc.. was excellent. Great guy. I know people have bad days but the girls in the lobby where you check in was not very friendly most of the time. Breakfast guy on 4 was very friendly and nice. But breakfast was supposed to start at 7am It opened one morning at 720.. Food was good. Its alot of money to stay there for tje troubles we had. Just aggravating.

Dirty, moldy walls, broken TV called staff but issue not addressed until I checked out. A huge Hotel with Eleven Floors but only one elevator works. Had to take steps up and down 11 floors because of waiting more than 30 minutes for elevator. This was a very very bad experience for me.

Not worth it
Not clean, poor housekeeping (towels stayed in the hallway the entire stay). No kiddie pool. Tub faucet fell off in my hand. Bed linen soiled. We wanted a budget friendly hotel but loss money because we left early because how uncomfortable the hotel made us feel.
