Really nice hotel, soothing atmosphere and a great value for the money! Rooms are aesthetically pleasing and people who work in this hotel are charming .15 min. Of drive to the beach.

Great for Everything

Pros: Location, condition of the pool compared to some of the others in the area, cleanliness, staff
Cons: The ventilation could be improved in the bathrooms.Look into exhaust fans instead of free flow vents through the wall.
Location: Nauticus is always fun. Exploring the Wisconsin. Plenty of different little store fronts and strip mall outlets. The beach is only 20 minutes away.
Hotel was great. The bistro seemed a little over priced for the price you pay for hotel room. Felt as if there should have been a complimentary breakfast for the price. The pool was always clean and very well maintained. The ventilation in the bathroom was a little more on the poor side. When you take a shower it steams up really fast. The beds were a little hard for my taste but still comfortable. Staff was always nice and friendly. Always willing to help when needed. Did not hear any freeway traffic all that much. Location is great. Only 10 minutes from downtown Norfolk and about 15 - 20 minutes from the beach. Overall it was an excellent experience and worth recommending to anyone.

Great Hotel - But don't buy drinks in their store!

$5.00 for a Gatoraid. Jeeze Oh Pete,...would definately stay here again, however I am stopping by a grocery store to get my snacks and drinks.

Only the basics

Pros: The staff is very nice.
Cons: Upgrading the exhaust system in all rooms.
Location: The location is among many other hotels. When I visit again, I will try a different one in the area, as it is fairly close to friends I will visit.
My main complaint was the bathroom filling up with steam after someone took a shower, and no exhaust fan to pull the steam out of the room. If your hair is freshly curled, it falls flat pretty quick as the steam enters the rest of the guest room. If you have to use the bathroom afterwards, you had better use the one in the lobby. What ever happened to guest amenities? Soap, shampoo and conditioner are all you get, the bare minimum. Where's the little bottle of body lotion, or any other little surprise that would make you feel welcome. There is no "Wow Factor" anymore. Hotels are getting to be like the air lines, absolutely giving the least convenience they can possibly get away with.

I was wondering if you could follow up with us at the property level so we can research what room you were in and correct the exhause issue? We do put the standard amenities in the guest room, but anything additional you may need should be available upon request at the front desk! We do try to accommodate all our guests and hope that they are able to enjoy their stay , it sounds like we may have let you down. I am very sorry to hear that!

This is our 2nd stay within two years; both times we have had a wonderful stay. Staff is very friendly, and the hotel is very clean.

Do your need help?

Pros: Good location for various events in the area, with easy access to the freeways.
Cons: Breakfast Bar selection was very limited and very expensive in compairision to surrounding eating places. Could you lower the price?
Location: Location? Perfect! Go take the $10 tour of Norfolk Naval Shippyard, You will be amazed! Go to Williamsburg, Plan for 2 days. The Ocean is Great!
This Hotel is a perfect place to stay! If you need something for your stay just ask the front desk. The Staff at the front desk will help you find a good place to eat or directions to find a destination. I noticed that any employee is willing to help you solve a problem. This Hotel is across the street from several other Hotels, so I checked them out after we checked in at the Courtyard. Boy, was I glad with the choice I made!

Great hotel at a great price

Hotel was amazing but the staff was even better. Being alone on business my alternator died and the staff helped me get it all taken care of. I am very thankful for their service and care.
