“Great Business Hotel”

The only thing I had a problem with was the air condition was set to freezing! I couldn't figure out how to make the room warmer and had to have maintenance come up to help.

“A lovely stay...”

Adjoining rooms, just as we had asked. Our little 13-lb dog was welcomed for a small fee that ended up being less than one day would have cost at a kennel. (Besides, we prefer to have our little furball with us.) Hotel staff was very pleasant and gracious. A hotel that accepts pets is always scary from a cleanliness standpoint, but this hotel has it together. You'd never know pets were permitted there. Great location, right off major highway. Cozy room, VERY comfortable bed (the mattress topper was a real plus for me!). More than I expected, and we'll definitely use this hotel whenever we visit my brother, who lives closeby.

“Good Get Away hotel”

The front desk clerks was very friendly. The room was clean and we enjoyed the softness of the beds, pillows and blankets. the restaurant was convienent, the food and our waiter was great. My only problem was that the rooms were ajoined and we could here the lady in the next room talking on the phone.

“Pet Friendly, Very Comfortable”

The hotel is in great condition and is very clean. The location was perfect for the 10K my wife and I were running. We loved the free cookies at the front desk and were very happy with how pet friendly the place is. There is a $25 per night fee for keeping pets in your room, but that's pretty standard across the industry.

I havew stayed at this same hotel numerous times while on business in Virginia Beach. It is my preferred hotel to stay at. I highly recommend it for business travelers.

“A great Place for first time visitor”

This was my first visit to Virginia Beach, and the staff at the DoubleTree was very freindly and most helpful. And the bed was just heavenly. I would most def recommend this hotel to anyone. I had a wonderful first time visit.

Beds are soft and very comfortable. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was large and the shower curtain was on a curved rod to give you more room. Also, the furniture was very modern and pleasing to the eye. Max & Erma's was a great place to eat and there is an outside patio behind the bar. Also, a very nice way to end a long day at the beach. In addition to being next to the Convention Center, there is also a Visitor's Center where you can find information about all the things to do and places to go in the VA Beach area. Very helpful to the first time visitor. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Its true, they do give you warm cookies when you check in!! The Hotel service was wonderful. The people at the desk were very friendly and cared about our stay. We had the fire alarm battery beeping because the batteries were weak and we went to the desk to tell them and they really showed that they were concerned that it inconveinenced us and took care of it quickly, then they called us in our room to make sure it was taken care of quickly. Which they did a great job. Love when Hotels worry about thier customers. Our room was on the top floor, which was the 12th floor. It was very quite, even though the naval base was so close and your heard the jets fly near the hotel, you don't even notice the sound. The room does not have a microwave or mini frige, which we missed, but did not ruin our stay. The beds were very comfy, slept through all four nights we were there. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. The hotel has shuttle that will take you one block away from the beach every half hour, we used it all the time. The drivers were very friendly!! It was very easy to get to all the attractions. Would reccommend this hotel to all our family and friends. Yes!! We will be back!!!
