There were several leaks on the property. The carpeting in our room had some gaps. They charge more than most other hotels for a dog.

Bathroom door was very hard to close. Toilet Seat was loose. Room was small. Key cards worked only half the time. Bfast attendant hated her job-so very rude. Not a bad hotel, but not worth the $160 paid.

Their credit card reader did not function; kept reading card declined called credit card company. Card was not declined. Reader was malfunctioning. That’s understandable but hotel had no means of getting around the problem. They required payment for yet to be used incidentals. After about half an hour they found a solution. Which should have occurred earlier. If we incurred incidentals we would be charged after the fact. After finally getting to the room which was very chilly we tried to turn in the heat. It blew cold air. Maintenance came right away got some tepid air going. Maintenance person said it wasn’t right but at least it was something. General air of incompetence and lack of concern. This morning I found it to be chilly but the thermostat is reading 77! Well at least it is something. Would never stay here again!!!!

I like the fast there were fast casual restaurants around (Chipotle and MEzah) as well as Krispy Kreme across the street! Best of all were Sams Club (for gas) and Walmart just a half mile behind the hotel, Pool and hot tub were pretty good, and no one else using it on a Sunday afternoon!

I want to start by saying all three employees I encountered were kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Mgr was "unavailable." The common areas (lobby, hallways, etc) were clean, if dated. There was an unpleasant smell, limited to the first floor. Room was dirty. Last minute booking due to a family emergency. I called the hotel to verify my sister could check in without me as she was arriving first. I called a second time to verify reservation and add my sister's name. I finally arrive for check-in at 2am - sister and step-father in tow - to find water leaking from the ceiling above the check-in counter and a sign stating water will be intermittent due to pipe work. The sign is dated March 4-5; it is now the 6th. Our room was dirty; my socks stuck to both the bathroom tile and the carpet in the room. A few minutes later my step-father tells me there is no hot water. I talk to the AM counter agent, explaining the situation - emergency, parent died, 2am, non-refundable, dirty room, no hot H20 - was told they probably couldn't refund the room for my step-father because we knew about the leak/sign but the manager authorized a discount once I contacted Expedia. Contact Expedia who gave me $25 OneKey credit, claiming hotel would not answer their phone. Hilton gave me a small refund for step-father's room. Parent death aside, the state of the hotel and lack of reasonable compensation is unacceptable. Past experience with Hilton = this is a one-off. Expedia = do better.

The room layout was nice and the stay was alright. The front staff seemed a bit confused, the continental breakfast was lacking, and my room ended up being directly over the pool so that was less than ideal as that was quite noisy. Overall it was not my favorite stay but it worked for what I needed.

The staff rocked. Thanks team, a friendly crew. Limited tea selection downstairs that the staff member offered one from her personal teas, a decaf. She went above and beyond. The room was great.

Love the space and view from in our room. The toilet had some issues. Took two request to get it fixed. But they were very friendly. I recommend face cleaning towelette packets as these were missing from this hotel. The pool area got crowded and very loud with a birthday party. The hot tub doesn’t have a thermostat. Breakfast was pretty limited but very appreciated. Only hot items were eggs and sausage. Corn beefed hash or bacon would have been yum. But the sausage gravy and biscuits Sunday morning was delicious. The location was very crowded but overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The first room we were assigned was missing blinds. The second room we were assigned smelled of smoke. The third room was nice, the people across the hall were very loud. The room was in need of some seriouis maintenance; the shower head was loose, the door way into the bathroom was rusted through on the bottom, and it was hard to find a good setting for the shower temp - either too cold or too hot.

At check in, the only way i think the girl checking us in could be more comfortable would have been if she had a blanket and recliner. Definitely was not, in any way, a priority to get us checked in or trying to break her curled up in a chair posture to make us feel welcomed. The room was okay when walking in, but with closer looks, the bathroom floor was dirty. Actual moveable dirt, the shower door was suppose to slide and it literally fell off the track 2 times which if i wasnt being careful would have fallen off and shattered, the bed was actually very comfortable but the overall "remodel" of the room was obviously done on a cheaper -cutting corners budget. Luckily it was just one night, served its purpose but def not a warm a cozy welcoming.

We stay regularly at the Hampton Inn on Battlefield Blvd when we visit our daughter in Chesapeake. We like best the convenience, the quality of the rooms and breakfast, and the frienliness of the staff (particularly Malae who was on duty during the day each day). We encountered one problem with a guest who had two dogs that barked continuously. We complained to a male who was on duty on Christmas eve afternoon, who invited a very difficult customer to move to a more remote corner of the hotel We didn't get his name, but he deserves an extra set of kudos for resolving a tough problem.

The property is a little outdated. The entire building can use some renovation. The room that we stayed in for 2 nights can use new carpet, new beds, new AC unit, better shower heads and shower curtain. The price was ok, but the breakfast and eating area didn’t look appealing.

Property is rundown and in need of updates. Broken tiles and bad caulking job in bathroom. A toilet that when flushed continued to run. My husband had to pull the tank cover several time to get the toilet to stop. Furniture that is worn down, and very lumpy bed. What was more disgusting was the several strands of long hair on the bathroom floor which were there when we arrived. If it weren't for the long holiday drive, we would have moved to another hotel. Very disappointing in a Hilton property hotel.
