Hotel on beachPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Hotel has 2 outdoor pool areas and 1 indoor pool area. Especially enjoyed the indoor area as a break from the sun after a day on the beach.
Cons: Front desk customer service and quality of the room.
Location: Location fine. Almost at the very end of the North end of boradwalk.
Overall very disappointed. Room was not ready for us the day we arrived until 6:00 PM. Room itself disappointing. Shower barely strong enough to rinse you off, faucet in sink only had hot water, cabinet door falling off hinges and kept getting jammed in the fridge door when we opened it. Thought we were upgrading form where we stayed last time as this was much more expensive, but the room waas not nicer at all. Would not go back.

Best hotel on the stripPosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Many pools, courteous staff, on the beach, every room has a balcony.
Cons: Rooms could use a little updating, but still more than satisfactory.
Location: Beach, restaurants, mini golf, shopping, pools, parking, and a 7-11 across the street.
We took our first family vacation in Virginia Beach here. We found the hotel to be in good condition and the staff very courteous. The many pools and direct access to the beach made this an ideal place for our family. In addition, it is on the quiet North end of the boardwalk which was preferable to us. We did have one issue when a severe storm struck causing a flood in the restaurant we were eating in and caused a ceiling collapse in the hallway to our elevator. However, it was handled quickly and professionally. In all, an excellent place for a family to stay, especially in comparison to the other hotels on the strip.

Great HotelPosted Jun 14, 2014
This place is on the more quiet north end of the beach. Valet parking was great and all employees were friendly and efficient. Hotel is family friendly, from the daycare to complimentary movie theater there is always something for the little ones to do. Pool and spa. Phenomenal. Rooms clean and comfortable. I asked for a room with an accessible bathroom due to my friend needing a roll in shower. We received an accessible room but with a standard shower. Hotel staff was able to provide a bench for the shower since he has a broken leg. My only complaint would be the cafe downstairs, The Square Whale. Food was bland and appetizer for $15 wasn't even enough for two people. Drinks were expensive and the served me Pinot Grigio in a plastic cup due to running out of wine glasses. I recommend this hotel, just not the cafe. There are several other places to eat in the area that are less expensive and much more appetizing!

We had a great stay. Don't know that we have stayed anywhere where the staff was consistently friendly and helpful.

ENJOYABLE STAYPosted Jun 2, 2014
Cons: Needs more visible decals on glass panels next to glass doors. I informed a management staff person.
Location: The Virginia Aquarium is only about 10 minutes away and an excellent experience for all ages.
Had a great four night stay, celebrating our wedding anniversity.

Beautiful hotel in quiet North BeachPosted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
We picked this hotel because its the last one on the board walk at 40th Ave. we wanted to be away from all of the crowds but still within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful view. Free valet parking and three pools. Loved it. We will stay here again.

Such a great view!Posted May 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and I believe we made the best choice. We were going to stay at somewhere such as the Hilton, but I'm glad we changed our minds and stayed here. What really convinced us was the breathtaking pictures of the pool. This hotel is possibly the best one I've ever stayed at. The hotel staff here is also very awesome. Our cleaner even left us cute little notes letting us know that they had made our bed. Also, when we had gotten here, they upgraded our room for us to the suite. (Which I know results aren't typical) It was a fantastic gesture, and I'm assuming it was because we told them it was our honeymoon. The Square Whale, which is the restaurant attached to the hotel is also very nice. The view is amazing and so is the food. We did a lot of research before we chose this hotel, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!
