We needed a safe, convenient, comfortable place to rest our weary heart and body. LaQuinta filled the bill. Nice complementary breakfast.

Restless Snoring and Barking Days

Location: Plenty of places to shop and eat
The hotels appearance is great. The amenities are great. It is a non smoking hotel. However, it is pet friendly. I don't have a problem with dogs except when it's 10:00pm and the dogs are barking non-stop!!! I call the desk to complain and they tell me I need to find out what room it's coming from. I said shouldn't that be your problem? Again at 7:00am dogs are barking. On top of the barking dogs the walls are so then that I had to listen to the snoring from the guy next door, as well. In fact if you turn your tv down, you could hear an entire conversation. After 2 days I was able to change rooms. I was relocated to another floor, but only to hear more dogs barking. If I had an option to leave and get my money back, I would have.

Hotel near the Botanic Gardens

Pros: Convenient location and quiet room.
Cons: Nothing was needed to make my stay more pleasant.
Location: I stayed here because it was close to the wonderful botanic garden (a beautiful place to visit in late autumn--few visitors so nice and quiet)
My room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I could not ask for more. The hotel was convenient for my visit to the Norfolk Botanic Garden, where the roses were in full bloom.

Nice place for non-business travel

Pros: Everything other than the lack of internet connectivity
Cons: More bandwidth
The only issue that I had with the hotel was the lack of stable internet connectivity. Without this connectivity I could not connect to my office to work, nor was I able to successfully browse the internet for anything more than a static page (e.g. the NY Times) after refreshing that page multiple times so that I could see it.

Very friendly service. Someone had smoked shortly before I arrived. They had been removed from the hotel and apologies were made in advance. There was virtually no evidence of smoke in the hotel.

It was a nice hotel. Getting into the hotel parking lot is rough. Alot of traffic with no stop lights. The chair in the room was very dirty and had stains on it. The breakfast bar was below average. Will not stay here again.

the rooms were great and location was perfect near stores shopping and restaurants.presses was great nice selection. please be advised it is pet friendly. I believe most people who had pets they were on the second floor.all in all this stay was wonderful hotel was clean very clean. This hotel is close to downtown Norfolk to the spirit of Norfolk where we were going. about a 15 minute drive down to the waterside.this will be my regular place to stay when I come back.

GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK!

The ONLY negative was NOT of the hotel, but the inconsiderate people above our room-They made so much noise -the front desk was very good about helping. The front did intervene and ask them to be quiet.They did all that they could-NOT ANY FAULT OF THE HOTEL. You just can not fix inconsideration in one night.
