Don't get hungry at the Marriott Chesapeake

Location: Cracker Barrell and plenty ofshopping places are near which is nice because the dining options at the hotel are not that good.
Continental breakfast should be served like other 5 star hotels such as Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn etc. etc. etc. to make the Marriott much more competitive. Also, the restaurant did not offer a wide variety for menu options and the canteen/bar is very very expensive. It cost $4 for a average size cup of coffee. The stay and room accommodations were very comfortable, but the dining options suck!

Bed had a bunch of hair on it from previous occupants. It was as if they didn't change the covers. Breakfast was terrible, silverware was not cleaned and had residue

Usually nice hotel turns into a nightmare stay

I normally love this hotel and stay there several times a year, but this time I had a very unpleasant time when the hotel was overrun by several soccer teams who were not appropriately supervised. They ran in groups around the halls screaming and cursing, knocking on my door (and then running away) on at least 2 occasions. The parents were too busy drinking poolside with coolers & open containers to supervise their kids. The people at the desk were nice - and there was even extra security - but short of making them leave there was nothing they could do really. I'll have to reconsider if I want to stay here again and would recommend calling ahead to see if they have any teams or large groups of kids staying.

Very poor room service, poor food

The hotel promises breakfast on time or it is free. Which is not true. The staff are disorganized -- they are friendly but not timely. The food is mediocre at best and its expensive.

Clean and quiet comfort

Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: Help with baggage would help guest. Not available when I arrived.
Location: Convenient to food, gas stations, and major highways but far enough away from those attractions to feel isolated from them.
Great experience. Friendly and competent staff. Ample parking and easy access to major routes. Convenient to Norfolk, Hampton and Virginia Beach.

Awesome Place!

Pros: Everything about the room is exceptional. From the bedding and other room comforts to the luxury appointed bathroom, with granite and Speakman Shower
Cons: Keep up the good work!
Location: The Greenbrier Mall is a quick ride away, and there is a Wawa Convenience Store right across the street! The hotel drink vending machines are $1.50!
This hotel is one of the better selections in which to stay in the area. I have been to the hotel multiple times, and am never disappointed. The staff goes out of their way to he courteous and helpful. This past time, I had to wait in line for at least 30 seconds, and the clerk insisted that I accept a free Breakfast or Dinner to make up for my inconvenience! You really don't find that level of concern for the guest anywhere else?
