The hotel was nice and in a good area not far from the beach the only one problem was they should clean the indoor pool daily and also clean the area by the pool daily

The Hotel is well kept and in a great area. The only thing I found displeasing was the fact that they don't even offer a bottle of water to guest after paying so much for the room(200+) in my case. Then the front desk customer serv rep. said to me that if I wanted to make coffee I would have to get water from the hand sink. This was an unacceptable response. And I couldn't believe she said it, I'll never stay there again. I'll be at the Hilton for now on.

I like the hotel rooms and facilities. The hotel is located in Norfolk downtown so everything is near and Virginia Beach is about 20 minutes.

Cons: customer service
The hotel is located in a very pack area with no parking. The parking is available on per hour/day basis in a nearby garage. The room was also very small and packed. The staff was also rude and not friendly.

Pros: Nothing. May be the riverside rooms are better, but I havent stayed there.
Cons: Give it a fresh look and have refrigerators in all rooms
Location: Location was good. Walk to many restaurants
The "standard room" was small and had a very dated feeling. The TV was on the side of the bed, not in front as it usuallly is. So our bed was right under the fire sprinkler. There was no refrigerator in the room. This was the most surprising and dissappointing part. We were not told this during checkin. It was difficult to save milk for my toddler. When I called to find out where the refrigerator was, I was told that not all rooms have it and that I can request one. But it was too late since we had to checkout next morning anyways. And I am not sure if it was free. They charge for everything there. So make sure you dont assume like me that all Marriott rooms will have refrigerator. Also the room wasnt very clean, there was a pill or something lying next to the TV console. I have had better experiences in Hyatt/Hilton and even holiday Inn for much less.
