Not bad but could get better for your moneyPosted Jun 23, 2015
They hound you relentlessly for their time share side. Ask for extra towels and you'll never receive them, but at check out time they're on you like white on rice. The restaurant and the martini bar next door were the highlights

Overpriced for the qualityPosted Jun 22, 2015
Not terribly happy with my room. Any room facing the street is just a view of pretty ugly view. One chair was so run down it shoulda been in a garage sale and my mirror frame was warping! For over $400 a night I expect much better! The staff was super young, so some of them were good, but in general, kids don't project good professionalism. Best part was the indoor bartender who gave an awesome martini class! Great idea!

Nice hotel, good value right on boardwalk/beachPosted Jun 14, 2015
Location: Lots of good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Hiking trails, aquarium, zoo and gokart/water parks within 20 minutes drive.
Nice hotel in a good location right on the boardwalk and beach. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. There are 4 pools, one main indoor pool which is probably the largest, 2 outdoor pools and another smaller indoor pool with hot tub that is for adults only. We went in the adults only pool/hot tub and they were clean and nice, but the pool was a little bit too warm. I think the thermometer said it was 90 degrees which isn't really super refreshing. The fitness room was about average compared to most hotels: a few ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and a handful of weight machines. It was clean and had a nice view of the beach. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant at all, but it was always busy and it has a great view of the beach and boardwalk. The room itself was nice and had a decent kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, toaster and dishes/silverware/glasses. Our A/C broke in the middle of the night and I told the front desk in the morning and they had it fixed in less than an hour. The room was nice, clean and overall comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the ridiculous jet engine noise from the low flying aircraft that flies directly over the hotel at all hours of the day and night on training exercises out of the local naval base. It isn't the hotel's fault at all and it's probably a problem for all of the local hotels, but the noise woke us up a couple of times almost every night we were there.

The room was small but for my husband and I it was perfect. We could see the beach from the balcony which was great. It's in walking distance to many great places to eat and shop. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice location. My 8 year old had a blast.Posted May 30, 2015
Buyer beware. We bought our room for the ocean beach club which is family friendly and designed for kids. However, were bumped over to the oceanaire hotel next door which is marketed for adults. To get to kid amenities you have walk past the martini lounge and adult pool/bar. We saw a couple making out and some dirty dancing with our 8 year old in tow. The manager gave us 1/2 off one night for moving us which was nice but if i wanted to stay at the oceanaire i would of booked there. Also are "oceanview" was not even close to that. I had to lean over the railing to see a glimpse of the ocean and we were the last suite next to the road. Weve stayed at the obc every year since it opened and have enjoyed our time there. Just make sure you confirm with them that you have a room at obc and not the oceanaire if you have kids. They should be upfront and notify you if its ok to move you to there sister hotel.

Room sizePosted May 28, 2015
Pros: Location was wonderful.
Cons: room size a little small & more room in bathroom to put things toiletries on..
Location: many restaurants nearby. So many shops. All within walking distance. Didn't take our car out at all.
Room size was a little small & not much area to put things down in bathroom. Beautiful Hotel. Kept it immaculate. There were employees working & cleaning all the time. & asked if they could help or do anything for us. Location on beach & board walk was excellent. Would come again. Diane
