Decent - Not SpectacularPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pros: Large, comfortable suites, including well stocked kitchenette, granite vanity in restroom. Wide hallways. Very convenient location near shopping, dining, etc. Cons: No adjoining rooms. Cleanliness and maintenance of hotel is so-so (main entrance needed sweeping, gritty kitchen floors in sleeping room, large stain on couch and office chair in sleeping room). Inconsistent housekeeping - remove and replace dirty towels one day. Slow slower drain. Barking dogs. Breakfast is mediocre at best. (Hot food is not kept hot, tongs sticky.)

Pros: The people were very polite, the meals were great, the hotel was very clean and quiet.
Cons: I would make sure the total # of guess get towels and cloths.
Location: Near the mall.
This was the first time visiting this area in a long time. Thank God for the great Hospitality of the people in the hotel because in the area, we encountered quite a few rude merchants. The Hotel is close to downtown Norfolk which has a lot to see and do. Virginia beach was also close by, we dined at a place called Shuckers. The service was excellent and food was great .

great locationPosted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spending a week anywhere but home has its challenges, but we found Residence Inn by Marriott afforded us the perfect location to recharge for our daily events in a clean and comfortable room, with full kitchens, and dependable service. Other amenities included the much needed washer and dryer on the premises, an attentive front desk staff and an extensive breakfast selection. Located just off a major highway with easy access to all kind of restaurants and shopping. We're ready to book this hotel again!

WATCH OUT!!!!!!Posted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Watch out for the long distant phone call fees. My wife made a few phones call adding up to about 50 minutes, in which we were billed $89.62. I spoke to the manager who said the fees are $1.75 per minute. I told her the fees were outrageous and they should be a notice in the room about the charges. She told me "that's just how much it costs" and "people always call before they use the phone." Overall the rest of our stay was average, just left a very bad impression over the phone bill.

Friendly staff. CleanPosted Jun 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had an excellent stay at your hotel. We had a problem with the TV and it was promptly taken care of. The room was very clean. The staff (all) were very friendly and helpful. Special kudos belong to Marcus who was so warm and welcoming and made sure all our needs were met. The only thing I missed was the little luggage rack in the room to sit my luggage on.

A nice stayPosted Jul 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
This was a nice stay and it's what you'd expect from a Residence Inn. A few notes about this hotel: a) VA Beach is about 1/2 hour away by car (although traffic in the area always seems to always be terrible so count on more time!) b) There are a lot of restaurants & shops near by, so everything is convenient. c) My GPS (TOMTOM satnav) said that we had arrived when we were on the freeway side of the hotel (where there is no entry). d) The laundry machines only take quarters (which you can get from the front desk).
