“Never again”

Toilet was still dirty and bathroom smelled, I had to go out and buy my own cleaning supplies to feel comfortable using the bathroom. Pillow case, pillows and linens were stained. Also had to buy a towel, washcloth and pillow.

Virginia Beach, Va overall is a great and beautiful place to visit/visit.

Outdoors or beach

Time at the beach is a must.!

“can't wait to visit again”

The hotel location was great, clean, and the staff was on top anything that was of not your satisfaction. The price was right. I would definitely request a balcony room if you like to sit outside and ahve some privacey. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Area recommendations

Virigina beach itself has plenty too do. You can get a trolly pass and visit the aqaurium and it also travels the entire beach area, hop on hop off. Great if you have kids. There is plenty of activities in the evening, street performers from musicians to acrobats, and artist. Norfolk isn't too far away. YOu can visit the zoo and plenty of naval tourism too. Busch Gardens was awesome. If you have kids, expect to spend at least 2-3 days at the park so all of you can enjoy it from beginning to end.

“It is an I'm at the beach and need a place to sleep hotel”

I chose this hotel over others because of the fridge for a place to keep the insulin I need. Parking was available but was extremely difficult to negotiate with all the pilings in place. The room was very clean, bed comfy however the place is showing a lot of wear and tear.

Area recommendations

Va Beach is a great place to stay in season. Otherwise, not much to do and see. The oceanfront is wonderful and the city has made great strides in updating the area.

When to go

Go to VA Beach during the season, I believe May 30 to Sept 6, otherwise not much to do.

Dining

Did go to one seafood buffet. Disappointed, overpriced and the food overdone. The service was great however. Va Beach has a high food tax, beware.

“clean bed for cheap, expect nothing more”

Well I wasn't expecting much, in fact I was expecting very little, but I got even less. The check-in was incredibly slow and difficult. The room was acceptable, but if you are going to offer a kitchen, shouldn't there be pots/pans somewhere? There was also no microwave in the mini "kitchen". The full sized frige was nice and worked well. The bathroom was incredibly small and uncomfortable to use. However, the inn is very close to the beach and shops. Thus if you are going for the sole purpose to use the beds for crashing after a great time at the beach and ONLY for crashing at a cheap price. Not as bad of an experience. Just know to expect nothing more than a clean bed.

What to pack

If going to this inn, you may want to bring pots and pans if you plan to cook. Also, the pillows sucked, may want to bring those with you as well.

“Just a block from the beach”

Only there for a couple of days, but the location was wonderful. Beds were not great but not bad. Water pressure in the shower was weak. But the room was clean, overall comfortable, well maintained, and the staff was very friendly and efficient.

“Perfectly serviceable”

I stayed here one weekend and was quite happy with the proximity to the beach. It's certainly not luxurious, but the room was clean and comfortable. It's just fine for the price.

“The worst hotel I've ever stayed at”

It was awful. We booked a 2 double bed suite with kitchen and what we got was a dark and smelly suite with dirty blankets and no kitchenware at all. Good location is all what you may enjoy and really not worth to pay your bucks for.

“Not well kept”

Seems to be an older motel. It is now owned/run by a family. The comforters on the beds smelled bad. There were hairs in the sheets. The counter tops and mirrors were greasy with finger prints. We had to request housekeeping re-clean our room when we first got in it. The chairs around the table were coming apart; you could only sit in one of them. There was sand in the fold out bed. -- Not a good experience!

Traveler's tip

Avoid any 'Free' lunches or any other come-ons. They will waste your time on time-share presentations with a hard sell and won't let you leave. They are every where on the strip in Virgina Beach.
