Great walking distance for Nauticus attractions.

Might have been better service if there wasn't so much going on at the hotel. A lot of confusion on the rooms. No house cleaning service the next day, was hard to even get clean towels. Be sure to check activities first before you book. (If you book off of expedia for the discounted price, your room may not be gauranteed.) I booked two bay view rooms and adjoining, didn't get either.

fun and relaxing

Pros: the attitude of the staff
Cons: update your bar area
Location: childrens museum in Portmough, Va sports hall of fame in Portsmouth (both just a water taxi away for 1.50), tour of the USS Wisconsin
was able to move to a room with a balcony at no additional charge. Staff was excellent from the folks on the front counter to the gentleman servicing the coffee station in the morning.

Food too expensive

Pros: I was here because of the Vatie conference and the conference rooms were nice.
Cons: There needs to be more options for food. Other hotels I have stayed at offered a free continental breakfast.
Location: There is plenty to do in the area.
The food at the resturant is too expensive so I had to walk to find food. The room was too expensive to not have a free continental breakfast. The view of the harbor was the highlight.

Great hotel close to concert venue!

Loved staying at this hotel! Rooms were clean and inviting! Staff were friendly and helpful! Super close to ntelos post pavilion and could catch the Elizabeth River ferry back and forth! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Only down fall is you have to pay to park your car either valet $24 a day or garage $12 a day.

No room service done

Aside of finding stains on my sheets and no one cleaned the room even after I spoke to the front desk the pool was closed for no valid reason. Since I saw kids swimming in it.

It's was too far from my distinction

I really did not enjoy my stay simply because I was over 20min away from the beach which was the reason I went on vacation

Hotel near Nauticus

Cons: Housekeeping & customer service could be improved. We had to ask every day for a 4th bath towel.
Location: Nauticus & USS Wisconsin are must-sees. The Freemason Abbey is wonderful place to dine; Paradise Donuts & D'egg Diner are good breakfast bets.
Our stay @ the Sheraton was ok. We had reserved (and pre-paid) for a 2 queen room w/harbor view but were given a king room with a parking lot view. After much fuss, they 'found' us a 2 queen harbor-view room. The parking fees were high ($24/night); the staff told us they validate if you park @ a nearby garage, but the 'validation' discounted the $12 garage fee to $11. The Waterside mall next door was likely once nice, but is now nearly deserted (only 3 restaurants remain). Hotel itself is nice with great view of the harbor.

Water View Wonderful

Pros: Location was excellent for our stay.
Location: Joes Crab Shack & Outback are nice and close for dinner.
Restaurant is a bit pricey. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Room was nice but no refrigerator. Bed was comfy and we slept great.
