The property was very dated, which is ok , but there should have been updates long ago which obviously never happened.
Customer service was very poor. They would not even answer the guest services number at all which was very annoying. Had to go to the front desk twice for example after being told they would bring ironing board up ( which it should have beenin room), which was then brought up by maintenance individual, who did also bring up some towels when housekeeping had not cleaned the room that morning.
Taking luke warm showers was definitely not any fun either for my stay. I was informed that they could not turned it up anymore because they were afraid of “ burning” children. I was also told I “need to be patient “ because I was on top floor and would take a while for the “hot “ water to get to me. That was ridiculous of course.
I have stayed in numerous hotels for decades , and no other hotels have gave me the children safety spiel.
The carpets were very worn as well , so maybe that’s why when in the shower the water under my feet turned black. Not sure if that caused it or not, but never felt the room was clean either after that.
In their defense, I asked to speak with the General Manager and he did call and appeared to be alarmed about what I was telling him and said he was going to look into things. Of course nothing happened during my stay, except he didn’t charge me from my room for first night. He also informed me he had just took over as GM 4 days before.
