“Can't wait to go back!”

I was very impressed with this hotel for the cleanliness, appealing decor and the helpful attitude of all the employees that I came into contact with. I will be returning to this hotel whenever I come back to Virginia Beach.

The hotel was beautiful. The restaurant was nice to have on site...great breakfast buffet (although it wasn't free continental). We never left! We also loved the kiddie pool and the fact that it was not part of the boardwalk. It made it possible to have a relaxing vacation. It was cheaper than any of the other hotels we found online.

Went away with friends for a girls weekend...what a beautiful comfortable place! Nice rooms, quiet location, great service...I will definitely go back!

“quiet location”

We were traveling with a 3 year old so we wanted a family friendly place away from the frenzy of the main strip, but yet close enough to the boardwalk. The website said the hotel was 1 mile from the boardwalk, but actually it was only 2 blocks which was very walkable either beach side or street side. There is a bike rental place street side, right at the beginning of the boardwalk. The boardwalk starts at 40th street and the hotel is at 42nd street. The hotel has a program for kids 4-12 years old which will be nice for us in the future. It also has a fenced in kiddie pool and a playground. And of course if you stay at the oceanfront hotel (not the one on the hill) you have great beach access right there and there are lifeguards. The hotel rents umbrellas and chairs. Between the pool and the beach is a grassy area with canopies for shade from the sun and lounge chairs. There are also places to play volleyball (2 on the beach and 1 on the grassy area). We stayed at the hotel in July and we never had to wait for any kind of service, the room was comfortable with a micro fridge, microwave, and proterra bath products. The only drawback for me was the bathroom sink - it seemed high and hard to reach (I'm short and was 6 months pregnant at the time). I would definitely stay there again and hope to in a few years.

“Great Location”

This hotel is located in a nice section of Virginia Beach. It was easy to get in and out of the beach area. Also easy access to restaurants outside of Virginia Beach. This hotel had two restaurants but didn't have time to try them. We were on a whirlwind weekend for one day for a Wedding. We had our Grandson with us. He loved the pools very much and the playground.

“WILL BE BACK!”

Cavalier on the beach was a excellant place to stay. Family friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms and awesome outdoor area. AND wonderful access to beach. It is off of the 'Boardwalk' so it is more 'Family' oriented.

Everything was really nice - large pool, short walk to the Boardwalk. Everyone was very friendly especially the valet guys & Jenn at the pool bar -ask for her Hurricane special! No complaints & plan on staying here again.

We stayed at the Cavalier on the Hill. This hotel has alot of character. We loved the area off the lobby and the pool room. You could feel the history. Our room was clean. Shower had excellent water pressure. The bathroom had 2 sinks, which came in quite handy. We are eager to return to Virginia Beach and we would stay at The Cavalier on the Hill again.
