Perfect location!

Posted Jul 31, 2014
WiFi didn't work in the rooms and free breakfast was just ok. Everything else was great! Perfect location was just far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to everything. Definitely would stay again.

Pros: Friendly staff and cleaniness
Cons: upgraded patio and open restaurant fo all meals.
Location: location at end of the oceanfront hub. Free shuttle to the other end might have been nice in the evenings.
Friendly staff. nice sized room. patio could have been upgraded. Breakfast was nice, but no breakfast meat.

Beach access and location were excellent.

Ants in room. Housekeeping only made one bed. Free breakfast was horrible. Everything else was excellent.

Hotel on the beach but otherwise disappointing.

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The staff was helpful and nice and the location on the beach was amazing. The security lock on the door was broken and the maintenance man fixed it
Location: It was within walking distance of all the shops/restaurants and activities near the beach boardwalk.
The location was amazing. Right on the beach with a nice pool as well. The view was beautiful. However, the hotel is about to be permanently closed and torn down and the restaurant/bar showed it. The bar didn't even have wine as they were not restocking even though they were not closing for over a month. The restaurant was only open until 2:30 and the breakfast buffet that was included was all carbs and no protein-not even a hard boiled egg.

Very good access to the beach

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Two pools, one for bigger kids and another for the little ones
I wasn't overly excited about the cleanliness of the room...also, you have to pay for parking in the hotel parking lot or you have to park across the street.

On a quiet section of beach

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Location was very good, the breakfast was decent for being included.
Cons: Label the breakfast cereals. I almost fed my child honey nut cheerios thinking they were cheerios and he is allergic to nuts.
Location: Location is at one end of the boardwalk, walking to the other end made for a nice 6 mile round trip walk.
The Ocean view was very nice, the breakfast manager was very nice, for the price we paid it was fine. If I was returning to VA beach I would look for another hotel. I thought I booked ocean view and realized I didn't upon checking in. I asked to pay to upgrade and was told I could not since I booked through Expedia. I called my sister who was arriving the next day and booked also with Expedia to tell her to call Expedia to get hers changed. My sister called the hotel to make a change and they told her they would bill her the difference when she checked in and was not sent to Expedia to make the change. The elevators were horrible, waiting over 5 minutes was expected and with a 2 year old the stairs to floor 9 were not an option for us. The valet guys were nice, to bad if you wanted your car and they were on their break, you had to wait for a manager to help. I don't blame the valet guys but management should plan to always have a valet driver available if you offer one. Location was good, walk-able to many restaurants and shops and the beach section was very clean, not crowded and had a life guard.

Read and you decide

Pros: Location was at end of boardwalk
Cons: Everything
Checked in to room 710 Shower would not shut off and tub was 1/2 full of water. Went to front desk and was assigned room 510. Keys did not work. I returned to front desk and was given new set of keys. 2ND set did not work but found maid in hall let us in and custodian went to front desk to get new keys. He returned and said I had to call or go get them myself. I tried to call front desk but the phone did not work. Went to desk and was given room 514. My wife and I were in our room calling expedia to complain when a new guest entered our room with working room keys. We found out that this hotel is set to be demolished at the end of this season. Avoid at all costs.

Stayed 2 nights. No housekeeping. Had to call front desk to get clean towels. Nothing cleaned in our room. Bed not made. NOTHING!
