Great spot in N VA Beach

The staff is always so friendly, the rooms are clean & quiet & it's close to great restaurants & bars - many within walking distance. It's great!

Pros: The sink stopper worked and the door locked. I checked the sheets and they at least smelled like they had been laundered - so I chose to stay.
Cons: Pretty much everything. The staff seemed friendly - and I didn't complain as it seemed sort of hopeless.
Location: Pretty nice Swedish restaurant next door - good Swedish pancakes :) Very close to the beach (to bad there was snow on it when I was there. :(
1. I arrived on an unseasonably cold night and the room was freezing cold - heater was not turned on and noticed all the dust on the broken vent grill. I turned it on and went for a late supper. 2. The furnishings looked like K-mart stuff from 25 years ago. 3. Paint peeling in bathroom. 4. Microwave with rusted spots on outside finish. 5. Toilet seat was the wrong size for the toilet. 6. T.V. was vintage - maybe early 90's. 7. Bed 'comforter' was thin and worn. 8. Found a cockroach in my ditty bag in the morning!!

the remote didn't work. There were roaches. Dog hair all over the floor had not been vaccumed. Toliet seat broken. Nasty air conditioning unit has not been clean ever. It had the cover hanging off of it. The fridge want working and had no racks. Just very bad experience I will never go back.

Hotel was a disappointment. Bedspread had burn hole. Had to ask for towels and take out garbage. Area was great. Swedish next door was wonderful. Walk to the beach was wonderful. Maybe it was due to it being the off season

The room was a disappointment. Maybe it was due to it being the off season in Virginia Beach. The room was never cleaned during our stay, carpet never vacuumed. The area is nice. The SweDish restaurant next door was wonderful and so was the walk to the beach.

Good location / Bad bed

The bed was not flat so it sagged in the middle. The heater had no thermostat and the fan was loud. There was no blanket in the room. The breakfast was below par and the coffee bad. We went out for breakfast elsewhere.

NIGHTMARE AT BEST

Pros: ON EXPEDIA after searching for a motel who accepts dogs.
Cons: The owner needs retrained by Travel Lodge Corporate offices.
Location: The beach is near by.
This motel should be avoided at all cost, Travel Lodge Corporate is receiving a letter from us today regarding the owner of this motel.This is how are stay ended, My son was in his room, the owner knocks on the door, an 18 yr old college freshmen staying in the room beside us. He starts yelling at my son regarding his dog being in room. He explained my mom paid for the dog fee. He was flipping out, yelling, stating, "I CALL POLICE". I went to the front desk with receipt he starts yelling at me, the clerk charged the wrong amount. We were charged $25.00 at check-in after alerting the clerk, we were traveling with a dog. The owner is freaking out screaming, pacing back and forth. He even pretends to get on his phone, asking for a cruiser. I am calm, begging this man to calm down. I tried handing him another 28.00 because he claimed the pet fee has tax. He started screaming, running back and forth in lobby, I don't care I want everyone arrested. This is exactly how this played out. I have never in a 45 years of my life, seen a person in a business behave this way. He began stating its 11:30 am and check out is 11. You need to pay another day. We were running a little late and 11:05 am we, asked the cleaning lady, if it was okay to finish getting ready to depart a half hour late, she said no problem. He as screaming that is not her right to tell you NOTHING. At the end we got in on car and left. This motel was a disappointment after being treated so disrespectfully. BEWAR

Was disappointed with the room not what or where I am accustomed to staying didn't like the bathroom and there was a hole in the wall but it was clean just looked old
