An excellent place to stayPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: The location and the suite made us feel like we weren't staying at a hotel.
The suite was great. A very short walk from the boardwalk and the beach. The parking garage was a bonus. The room was very spacious and a great place to relax. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great pool close to the beach.Posted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: The pool and the music by the pool.
Cons: Place to put the toiletries that you need to unpack. Pool towels needed.
Location: Restaurants within walking distance . The beach right across the street. The aquarium is a go see. Williamsburg, nauticus and the U S S Wisconsin
The room was outdated . Nowhere to put your toiletries and one night stand. The planks on the deck were In The wrong direction for people to push their luggage and the cleaning carts early in the morning which made it kinda loud for sleeping in. Beds were kind of hard and small. I think the balcony rooms and time share rooms are what they showed to get people to book there . It wasn't horrible, but disappointing as the location and pool we're great.

cross street to boardwalk and beachPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: see above.. loved everything about Turtle Cay
Location: Boardwalk, biking trail, Fine dining throughout Va Beach, free nightly music along the boardwalk, fishing, fine beaqch
don't bother crossing the street. just stay in the courtyard by the pools - both heated to 85 degrees, or jump into one of the two hot tubs, or stand under the ten foot waterfall for a good pounding on your back, or re-lacks on one of the many lounges or tables surrounding the pools. Plus tables with umbrellas for snacking, add free wife for you kindle or computer and nice music background. it's like being away on a tropical getaway (complete with palm trees)... that's just the outside - your one bedroom unit is just the icing on the cake. We are new owners - just getting a taste of what's to come for our first full use next Sept.

Nice family hotelPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
We liked it, but didnt like the selection of food near us. There were only 2-3 restaurants--and overall, we had issues getting takeout at many of the area restaurants. It's like they dont do that much in VB? The hotel is really nice. The pool is gorgeous. We had a king suite which was more than enough room for 3 of us. The kitchen was well stocked--and a plus for us. We really look for that more than anything. Overall, I'd rank us "very satisfied"!!! We'd return!

The family vacation at this resort was very good. Nice location for the beach, the boardwalk, restaurants and attractions. The pools inside the resort was amazing to finish the day with the kids. The only negative thing was the wifi connection. Because we were located in the back of the resort, no wifi connection was available at the first floor for many rooms. After some discussions with the staff, nothing was done to fix the problem.

The pool was the highlight. The room was fair but the outside noise level was too high. 0verall an okay stay but too costly for what you get.

Nice hotel but not for the price....Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: great bathrooms and full kitchen
Cons: VERY noisy on the first floor and mattresses are WAY too hard
Location: Location is nice .. all the restaurants close by are great!
Be sure you are on the third floor and on the side street side of the hotel or you will listen to traffic all night long! The rooms were clean and nice and staff was very nice! Bed are WAY too hard for me!! if you like a soft mattress bring a pillow topper!! Personally for not having an ocean view the rooms are WAY over priced.

Would never stay here again!!Posted Aug 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were totally disappointed when we entered our room at Turtle Cay. The room is not pictured as it is on the website, carpet stained, wall paper torn, scuff marks on the walls, very old TV with remote that didn't work and bedding has to be more than 20 years old. An hour to wait for check-in and the first thing they did to welcome you was sign you up for a timeshare sales meeting. This is not a five star resort as advertised and would never recommend or stay here again. Only positive thing is it was across the street from the beach.
