“Beautiful old building, and old building drawbacks”
The hotel is a beautiful old building in a picture perfect location, but as with all old buildings, there are downsides. The wooden corridors echoed badly, so we heard anyone who walked past our room during the night. The ensuites were also quite dated (though functional), and the bed had seen better days. Having said that, the staff were lovely and helpful, the setting idyllic, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in a picturesque location, and we could easily have spent a few more days here!
