It was an amazing stay. The staff were nice and friendly, place was clean and beautiful. Food wise I would say the breakfast was great. We had bbq by the beach for dinner which I thought was romantic. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. We love it!

Went on holiday end of July. Very enjoyable holiday and highly recommend. Good service. High quality food at buffet. House reef not the best but some amazing dive sites near by. Felt that we got value for money...

"Best holiday ever!"
While everyone warned me that Maldives can prove to be a boring holiday destination, especially if you stay longer than a couple of nights, we wish our stay was a few days longer. Kuramathi is a larger than most resorts which enables them to provide lots of regular alternative activities to sun bathing and swimming. We stayed 7 nights and tried as much as we could: snorkeling, fishing, parasailing, kayaking, spa .. A few extra days and would have also tried their diving experience. The resort is clean, well equipped and while at times I had to call reception to ask them to have a new shampoo or serviettes, overall their service was very good. There are over 700 staff on the island with almost 300 villas yet everyone who we spoke to remembered our names and vila number. They also have a unique nightly activity where they feed sharks and sting rays... Quite fascinating and unique. We haven't been to other Maldivian resorts but this one has not disappointed. It also seemed to be very popular with returning guests..

"Beautiful and relaxing"
My son found and booked the resort, I'm glad he did as it was lovely, we've never been so relaxed and will defiantly go back again. The resort is small and intimate and everyone knows your name, staff are helpful and always polite. I would recommend Gangehi to couples and family's alike!

"Paradise!"
Beautiful small island - our beach villa was 30m from the sea lagoon and maybe another 30m from a fab. coral reef. White soft sand and clear, warm, clean sea full of beautiful fish - close to paradise! Italian owned and run - we were 2 of the 4 Brits. there - the rest of the clients mostly Italian. Great (Italian) food - pasta, fish, meat, salads and fresh fruit. Very relaxed and chilled, shoes not required...but with all mod cons - good A/C - our beach room had a large, smart bathroom with twin showers and sinks and a firm but comfy king size bed.

"They Sure gave it their all- and Credit to um!!!"
Chaaya Reef is a small Atoll in the Ari Reef chain. Service: 5*. Seriously: from the Table Service, to the room cleaning, Turn Down service at night, Pool Service, Scuba experience...Wow!!! The people have a Strong Work Ethic. when something isnt right, and you tell them- you almost feel bad since they care so much. Rooms: Your in the middle of the Indian Ocean on a Atoll. Its pretty much in the middle of no-where. They build nice Strong Concrete small buildings with either 1 room or 4 rooms. Easily survived the strong winds we experienced. The resort provides power adapters. Make sure you have 220Volt items! (European voltage). They were very clean, and very quiet. We slept GREAT! Beds are a bit on the firm side. Guys will LOVE it...Girls will moan unless they are sporty. Food: concerned when we read the food reviews on a few sites. But the Hotel did Really well. Very European style with a large number of Indian offerings. Not an indian restaurant frequenter- but i found the selection quite nice. If i felt like European food- No Prob, and if i wanted some local/indian type food. No Prob. I was worried about my wife and stomach bugs- but No Prob! Scuba: The house reef here is the best in the Maldives. If you scuba, its AWESOME! They take care of the reef and it sure pays off Transport: We took the boat vice the plane and was fun. We liked it. Bottom-line for us: We'd go back. Hotel staff is Great, rooms comfy and quiet, and scuba- WOW!!

"Basic hotel close to beach"
Ukulhas Inn is a standard hotel on a local island. The rooms are simple but spacious and the breakfast is delicious (try the local options). The staff are helpful in arranging trips and the ferry ride over to the island. If you want a budget trip, it's a good option. It's a very quiet island but the beach is nice and you can wear a bikini and swim. They can arrange a variety of activities and a dive shop will open on the island soon. At the moment, diving is possible but expensive as it's run from the neighbouring island. Restaurants on the island are limited, so lunches and dinners are pretty basic.

Pocket Guide: North Ari Atoll, Maldives Family Hotels

Although a popular tourism region, North Ari Atoll is certainly not overly developed. Dive operations are run by all resorts, with some catering particularly to the advanced diver. To the north east is Rasdhoo Island with its Buddhist heritage, quaint village, and deep sea medical centre. Hammerhead sharks may often be seen offshore on the outer reef. “Fish Head”, one of the world’s most famous dive sites, is located further south.
