Less than 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) to the south of Lake Tahoe, is North Lake Tahoe, a great place to visit while exploring the region. Coming from Reno-Tahoe International Airport in Lake Tahoe, North Lake Tahoe lies 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the southwest.

North Lake Tahoe is a popular place to visit while you are exploring Lake Tahoe as many of the city’s main attractions are nearby. Two of the places not to miss are the marvelous Sugar Pine State Park and the fantastic Spooner Lake Cross Country Ski Area.
