"Friendly Staff and Hotel"
This hotel is on a very quiet street, lined with lovely town houses. A converted town house itself, it is an oasis from the busy city. You would never know that Harrods and the Piccadilly - Knightsbridge tube stop are only 2 streets away. The staff was wonderfully hospitable, offering to bring tea service 24/7 to my room. My single room was city-sized, but extremely quiet, comfortable and clean. The accommodations and staff were extremely pleasant. I most willingly recommend this hotel to business professionals staying in town.

"Charming place in Bloomsbury"
We stayed at the Academy for 6 nights. It was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Our room was on the 4th level up (counting the street level) as number one. The staff helped us get our bags up to our room. There was no elevator. The bathroom came with a lovely soaking bathtub which was clean and fresh. It also had a heated towel bar, though I was not able to make it function. A bottle of water and apples were provided in the room. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is close to the tube and to a large variety of buses, as well as to the British Museum. We did not eat there, but breakfast is served downstairs in the morning.

"Edwardian eccentricity in Chelsea"
This is an unusual hotel and a welcome change from the corporate uniformity that one normally encounters. The staff go out of their way to personalize your visit; some of this is a bit odd, such as adding your name to the door of your room, while other things are very nice, such as the complementary champagne and hot chocolate in the evening. The hotel has a library and a drawing room which are available to relax in when you need some quiet time. The whole place is decorated with antique English furniture that matches the Edwardian decor and layout of the hotel. One gets the impression that the building was once an aristocratic town home that has now been reconverted to a hotel. I think my room was probably one of the servant's quarters, but the bed did have a teddy bear and the washroom has a rain shower.

"Excellent Hotel!"
We got back yesterday after staying at the Indigo for four nights. It was wonderful. Considering a whacking great building is going up directly opposite, it was surprisingly quiet. The bed was ultra-comfortable, the shower was fabulous, the complimentary drinks and snacks were a real treat (and very handy when we forgot to buy ourselves some water after a long day). Great location too. Tower of London just around the corner and a stone's throw from the Thames. Aldgate tube is hardly any distance and the DLR at Thames Gateway is very handy indeed. All in all, we had a fabulous stay and we would happily go back tomorrow - not to mention telling all our friends to look the Indigo up!

"Staff exceptionally helpful"
first i arrived 3 hours pre book in time as i was ill and in need of a bed and the staff arranged a room for me immediately without quibble. After i was feeling better i did ask to move rooms as i had a small queen sixe bed and also had the airconditioning plant right outside my window and they immediately moved me to a room with a king size and no outside noise. Although we didn't actually eat at the hotel all the facilities seemed very good but the staff were always helpful and happy which makes SUCH a difference to your stay. it is also a great location for a hotel in London.
