Climate control not under customers control.

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The climate controls in the rooms.
On the heater/AC there is a setting for fan; High, Low, or Auto. Regardless of where you set it, it is always on Auto. I can only sleep with the sound of a background fan, so this was extremely disappointing and misleading. If you are not going to allow the customer to control the climate control of the room, don't mislead them by having a setting for it.

Very large hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: I liked that I didn't have to drive to find something to eat and have a drink. Pool and Hot Tub area was huge.
Location: It wasn't close to shopping if you want to do that. But it was very easy to get back on the highway. Very quiet and got a good night sleep.
Lots of rooms. I guess they need it for hockey tournaments. My room was very nice and was a little surprised to see a 4 foot tall refrigerator in it. Food was good at adjoining restaurant. Drinks were a little expensive at the hotel bar. Overall I was very comfortable.

Just a quick one night stay but I was pleased with everything. Room was clean, shower hot, pressure good and bed was comfortable. I thought the breakfast buffet was above average for a highway motel.

Great hotel for a quick stay!

Posted Oct 19, 2014
We got a room for a night after a concert at the civic center. The room was clean, the beds were a bit on the small side. The young lady that checked us in was very friendly, showed us a map where to go which was helpful! Not super impressed with the onsite resturant, I would stay there again if I just needed a room.

Nice and clean.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and room.
Cons: Pricing and hot tub.
Location: North Mankato. Close to Gustavus Adolphus College, great sushi restaurant nearby as well.
Great breakfast, nice staff, room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Price was a little high but occupancy was very limited so that understandable. Hot tub was not working.

two-day stay at the Best Western in Mankato.

Posted Aug 22, 2014
We only had one challenge while staying @ The Best Western in Mankato...on several occasions the key cards wouldn't work for our room and the hotel side entrance. The staff was more than willing to help though, and the problem was rectified. :-)

Quiet hotel, didn't hear a sound from rest of hotel. Only negative was when the hotel replace toilet seats they should have tightened them down...

What a great stay!

Pros: Everything! The pool was great!
Cons: Room's bathroom lacked a lock... But beyond that nothing!
Location: Perkins is tasty!
Awesome breakfast and staff! I can't quite recall his name but the gentleman who checked us in was very polite. I believe his name was Andy, but nonetheless he helped us sign up for the rewards program and was very helpful! What a great guy!
