“Great Experience”
I rarely spend time in hotels but this was a wonderful visit, to short. I fell in love with the view, the room, the spa...It was wonderful.
“A really great hotel experience in Astoria, OR.”
We were looking for a distinguished hotel experience to match our excitement of retracing Lewis & Clarks' presence on the mighty Columbia River and Astoria area. The Cannery Pier Hotel juts 600 feet out into the Columbia and provides a spectacular view from our private balcony and large windows. The room was outfitted with fire place, bath tub and separate shower. both of which look out the windows, plus microwave, etc. The hotel lobby is lovely with wall to wall glass to fit the ambiance. A cocktail hour with live string musicians was most welcome at the end of a busy day visiting historic sites. The staff was warm and welcoming and did all they could to make us comfortable. We will return just for the fun of the hotel and surroundings.
“Unique experience”
Extraordinary location, very well appointed, walking distance to very good restaurant - relax.
“Wonderful Experience!”
Great location, very comfortable room, good breakfast, pleasant staff! Would definitely go back if in the area.
“Perfect Getaway”
We enjoyed being right on the water, being able to watch the ships pass by as we sat in bed or on the window seat with a gas fire nearby. The room was great - lovely soaker tub, comfortable bed with duvet, a sink and fridge in the room, table and chairs, sofa. The hotel staff were also great and they hotel provides little extras like bicycles to explore the harbor or town and rides into town in vintage cars to have dinner or whatever and a wine and cheese reception in the afternoon. We ate at a restaurant next to the hotel that was very good. The only suggestion was that the continental breakfast was not particularly great - maybe a small step up from the normal, but in such a lovely place we expected higher quality food.
“One of the Best”
The Cannery Pier is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Upon arrival we were greeted with complementary wine, cheese, and smoked salmon. We were driven to dinner at a good restaurant in Astoria in a restored 1952 Cadillac. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a splendid view of the boat traffic on the Columbia river. In sum, a great experience.
“Great hotel in Astoria”
We stayed at the Cannery Pier Hotel for two nights over the long Thanksgiving break. It was a great hotel that we would stay at again in the future. The wine and cheese at 5pm was very nice. We used the free car service one night to go into town for dinner and that worked out really well. We didn't do any spa treatments but will next time. Watching the ships from the nice window seat in your room is nice. Overall it was relaxing two day trip.
“Does exactly what it says on the Tin”
Excellent location - great decor - great facilities.
“Perfect Get Away”
Astoria is just a quick drive from Portland and so worth it. The Cannery Pier has become a favorite romatic spot for us. The beauty of the view, excellent customer service, wine and cheese at 5:00, and breakfast in the morning gives it a bed and breakfast feel with all the extras! It is our favorite weekend get away!
“Special occasion Astoria waterfront destination”
This was our 3rd time at this hotel & each stay has been great. We will be back. Hopefully when the weather is better.
