Rooms are very old and dated as well as the pool. The location is great. The staffs family were dropping F-bombs in the pool area, which made it awkward with my kids and we left. The Wifi there is very weak (if any).

Location great, Building meh..

Pros: Location and view
Cons: Renovate and/or update
Location: It is right on the beach/prom and just a few blocks away from the main street and turn-around. Most attractions are within walking distance.
We usually got to Seaside once a year, we often stay at the Hi Tides. The location is great but it's probably past time to renovate the hotel. We haven't been disappointed, and it is clean.

Close to the beach.

The room has an odor and no air air conditioner. There was a floor portable fan.I have to open the windows all night to freshen up the room. The bathroom and the kitchenette were clean. The furnishings need updating. They don't have a cot available for an extra person.I was in the annex building not in the main hotel overlooking the water so I'm only speaking about the building where I was in.

Spacious hotel in the middle of Seaside.

Pros: Location, facilities.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: Huge, sandy beach, although the water's freezing. Superb nine-hole golf course just a mile away. 10-mile forest/coast hike to Cannon Beach.
It wasn't cheap at $130 a night, but it was mid-August, just before the Mt Hood-Coast Run, and the facilities and location were excellent. One minute to the beach, and just a couple more to the main street shops and restaurants. For a few more dollars you get a beach view and balcony, but all the rooms have kitchens and bags of room. Friendly staff, as everywhere on the West Coast. Free cookies in the evening.

great location.

Pros: location, staff,
Cons: new furniture
The ocean front rooms with a patio are worth the extra charge. You can watch the sunset from your room and sleep with the sliding door open to hear the ocean. Staff was excellent, room was clean, pool and hot tube were well maintained. The room furniture was dated but in good condition. Overall a good choice.

Not that great

Is really expensive and old, the staff is a little rude and the "High speed" internet they provide didn't work for most of the time when we were there......( we try our phone, tablet, ipad......)

Great hotel!

Hotel is a short walk to the beach and promenade. Location is perfect! The man at the front desk is super friendly and ready to help. The hotel is dated so don't expect a Ritz Carlton like experience. Rooms are clean and large. That's all we needed! Breakfast is coffee, packaged muffins and orange juice. It was just enough to get your day started. For the value you can't beat it.

Needs improvements

We expected more from this hotel than what we wanted. We were placed in a room away from the main hotel in a adjacent building. We have come to expect great WiFi connections, but only had two bars in our room. Continental Breakfast was also disappointing. They need to sharpen up their menu.

Hi Tide "Resort"

Posted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: close walk to beach refrigerator
Cons: carpet, drapes, bathrooms, bedding, etc all need to be freshened up walls are very thin, so you hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do
Location: close walk to beach, main street, restaurants, pubs, etc.
We were disappointed. Room condition was VERY old - looks like our room hadn't been updated since 1978. Carpet looked as if you really didn't want to put your bare feet on it. With that being said, the bed was actually comfortable and the fireplace was a nice 'extra'. We also liked the fact that we had a refrigerator. Staff was friendly. We did not use the indoor pool or hot tub (looked ok) but it was small and had only a few seats. For a few more dollars per night somewhere else, we could have booked a more updated ocean front room or one with a view - but that's our fault for reserving last minute. All in all, do not expect much for the price!

A three day stay

Posted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: closeness to the beach, the reason why I chose it
Cons: The decor
Location: the beach, within 50 yrds and a stroll to the downtown strip and nightlife
The room had a nice view of Tilamock head, it was quiet at night, could hear the waves crash as I left my window open. This would be a great choice in the future, hopefully someday soon they will update the rooms. Straight out of the 70's
