“wonderful getaway”

very friendly staff-got an upgrade with kitchen. staff found us a flapjack turner so we could make our pancakes in morning. Got complimentry wine in louge.They were repairing hottub so couldn't use but pool was wonderful and not cold.Really enjoyed axcess to beach,electric fireplace,and deck overlooking ocean. would go back in a heart beat!

“average hotel”

The Shilo Seaside is showing it's age, good location but needs a major overhaul. The beds and linens were updated but that is about all. We had a barking dog on our floor and we heard it barking for several hours. Would help it the property offered free or reduced price breakfast with the rooms.

“Needs air conditionng in the rooms”

The hotel is very nicely located, and is a very nice hotel. The only problm encountered was there was no air conditioning in the room so was very warm during the day. It is an older hotel.

“Shilo Inn Oceanfront - control your lounge music & raise your ratings!”

We had a nice stay at the hotel. Our only concern on the 200 level, is that the lounge music (directly below us) reverberated horifically thru the the 2nd floor structure (perhaps even to/thru higher floors), until well after 1am. I can sleep thru almost anything, but this boom boom boom of the lounge music was extremely disruptive to a good night's sleep. Service was great, early check-in was allowed, comfort was great, the rooms were great, but that music was a spoiler. Shilo should take a hard look at how to mitigate the negative acoustics. Manager: take a friday nite & stay in the 200 block, right over the lounge. Experience it!

“Great getaway”

This hotel is a find for anyone wanting to spend a couple days on the oregon coast. What made it so special was the manager greeting me at check in and upgrading the room to ocean view suite. This made the stay one to remember and the cost absolutely absurd for such a great room. The only down side is that the room was already paid for and they tried to charge my credit card for the stay. If you are looking for a romantic interlude or a break from the madness this hotel is a place to definitely consider for your future travel agendas.

“Too noisy”

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, but sound travels freely from the room next door. I had forgotten that this was a problem when we last stayed there, but my wife will not let me forget again. Sleep is important to us and we will not stay there again.

“We will never stay at the Shilo in Seaside again”

The room was lacking maintenance. The shower curtain was laying on the floor when we walked into our room. The ceiling fan was so loud that we could not stand to use it. There is no A/C in these rooms either. The lady at the front desk was very rude to us too. We will never stay at the Shilo again.

“Booking with Expedia”

I booked with Expedia. Asked waiter to charge bill at restaurant to our room, he said that was fine. After we were sleeping for an hour, we were awakened by a rude desk clerk demanding we come to the desk and pay the restaurant bill immediately since the waiter's shift was over. We had no idea the hotel did not have our credit card number. We were made to feel like criminals.
