“It's OK....”

The place is very old and the outside is under major rennovation. Our room was very clean, modernf and comfortable, however, if you desire 2 beds you will be placed on the side facing the highway. There is some traffice noise and in fact our first morning was horrible but thereafter during the week tollerable. Construction workers start at 0700 but the hammering, nailing and sawing begin at 0800. The Continental breakfast room is extremely small and the food is limited consisting of 2 types of cold cereal, bagels and/or rolls, regular or decaf coffee, milk and OJ. I asked about having any jelly---NONE. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and so overall (if you can handle these "cons" I would say that you will be pleased.

“On the Road to Recovery”

There is a major renovation of the exterior ongoing, and it is a construction site. Major improvements have already been done inside. New beds, night stands, four new lamps, desk, table and large screen TV, curtains, drapes. black-out curtains! It provided what I wanted, coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge, and the price was LOW. There are few motels in that area, so they could have charged more, but given the work going on, they lowered the price, which was more than fair. I rate it a good value for your money.

“Stinks of Mildew”

The place reeks of 18 variants of mildew. The hallways stink of mildew in a way that physically throws your back. They are dark, they are ugly. The room was a bit better, but I have to ask, "who in the world approved their interior design?" Dark and ugly patterns abound. Note to the manager: having your dad lounging in the reception area (lying flat on the sofa with dirty bare feet on the coffee table) is not professional, and not how we do things here. So guys, buy 1000 gallons of Lysol and spray it everywhere. That will give you a good start.

“What a dump!”

I'm just about the least "needy" hotel guest out there. As long as the room is clean and everything works as it should I'm happy. Such was not the case this time. The A/C cut out throughout the night and I had to get out of bed 5 times through the night to restart it. They gave me a different room the second night and it was a better but that first night was horrible and nothing was offered to offset the inconvenience. The room they moved me into appeared as if it hadn't been cleaned. Old, broken soap in the tub, crumbs from the previous guests meal on the desk and floor, etc. The hallways looked like a war zone and the smell was, shall we say, unpleasant. All in all, I would have made out better sleeping in my car.

Should been a great place to stay with Fridge, microwave oven place not far from shopping malls. But they were renovating almost all the rooms. Can't sleep cause they were pounding on the rooms adjacent to my room. They should've closed the hotel temporarily to accomodate the renovation or could've made better plans to find their guests rooms that would not be very close to the construction site.

“Cheap and clean”

First impressions were deceiving. I was concerned when I first arrived. There was some construction noise from a room renovation and some rooms had people peeking from behind the curtains. Once I got settled in I found the hotel staff to be very friendly. They even offered to fill my ice bucket for me so I wouldn't have to climb the stairs (the ice machine on my floor was out of order). There was some damage to my room but it didn't affect my stay.
