North Pole Vacations
North Pole has a number of museums and theaters within easy reach that allow visitors to really get a feel for the area. In particular, you should make sure you check out the Fairbanks Ice Museum and the Fairbanks Community Museum. The area is a great place for those who love art. Make sure you see the Alaska House Art Gallery.
If the sun is shining get outdoors and appreciate the nearby parks and reserves. There are some great green escapes, so take a picnic blanket to Pioneer Park.
Get familiar with the local sporting passions in North Pole by catching a game at Carlson Center Event Arena, the home turf of the Alaska Nanooks and the Fairbanks Grizzlies. If sports are not your thing, you can still enjoy the stadium’s fine acoustics at one of the many concerts hosted here.
After a long day enjoying the charms of North Pole, recharge your batteries in one of the area’s popular bed-and-breakfasts, hotels or short-stay apartments. Check out the rooms and rates at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel & Conference Center, the Alpine Lodge Fairbanks, or the Springhill Suites by Marriott Fairbanks.
