This is one tired place

Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Bed was OK
Cons: See above
This once proud "resort" has seen much better times. The room reminded me of a 1960 motor lodge, which is exactly what I believe it once was. When I woke in the morning, there were strange light patterns on the drapes I had drawn the night before. This was because the lining of the draperies was so worn and moth eaten that there were dozens of holes in them. The TV was VERY old and small (no flat screens here!). There were holes in the building outside the room. The continental breakfast was not something I would choose to take part in. Old and tired describes this place. I believe the only way they can compete is by allowing pets.

Pet friendly

Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Pet friendly. Lots of space outside to enjoy nature. Views, walking.
Cons: The rooms are not in the best of shape. Carpets worn, rusty fixtures in the bathrooms, window trim rusted. bedspreads shabby, like a summer camp.
Location: Provincetown is only 3 mi. away, many shops to visit. eateries abound. winery tours nearby. whale watching, seal trips, trolley tours. seashore.
I love staying there with pets. It is so easy. They have dog playground that is beautiful. The rooms could use some updating, but just happy dogs could go with us. It was expensive for what we had. The trails were lovely on the National seashore around the motels. They are spaced a distance apart, so you feel uncrowded. Decks are lovely on many of the motel rooms and can see the ocean. I liked the country feel and relaxed nature of the place. It was nice to have a light breakfast. NO pool though. It was filled in for dog playground and next year a pool again. Last time I went, pool was so cold I couldn't swim anyway. It is a nice place to stay with pets. I can't wait to go again.

It served the purpose

Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Convenient and pet friendly.
If I did not have a dog I would have looked at a nicer place. But because it was pet friendly and had areas for dogs to go It was a good place.

Amazing facility ... for dogs

Posted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: dog friendly
Cons: quality of rooms
Location: convenient to Provincetown and beaches of Outer Cape
The room itself is rather blah - reminiscent of a Motel 6; 2 small double beds, thin carpet, old window AC unit, "continental breakfast" that consists of boxes of cereal and super-sugary pastries. This hotel labels itself as "dog-friendly" but they don't do themselves justice in that respect. They have a fenced in play area for dogs that, while not particularly large for a big dog, is furnished with several umbrella tables and chairs for people and has multiple pieces of agility equipment for your dog to explore! We took this room because it was relatively inexpensive for this part of the Cape for the time of year, and as a simple hotel room it is more expensive than the quality warrants. However if you are traveling with a dog and want a place that will allow you to exercise your pup for an hour or so before you go out for a bit, you should definitely look into the Outer Reach!

Pet Friendly- at $15 per day +tax

Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Clean (though dated) rooms. Some fixtures kind of falling into disrepair.
Cons: It looks like they're working on it, but a little TLC to the rooms, grounds and building exteriors would be welcomed.5 minute
Location: A five minute drive from Provincetown center, nice walking trails adjacent to the property.
The hotel complex is well worn, but the rooms were clean. Our room had a small deck though not much of a view from our particular building. Overall it was worth the low price considering it's proximity to Provincetown and the local nature trails. Please note the Expedia ad doesn't mention that there is a $15+tax per day fee if you bring a pet. Also the rate I thought I had gotten the room for turned out to be a little more. So the $208 two night stay I though I booked ended up being about $261. Still a decent price but I couldn't help but feel a little snookered.

Not bad for a Dog Hotel

Posted Aug 28, 2013
We stayed here during the busy period around Carnival. The picture of the pool is a little misleading as the pool is located at their sister resort down at Provincetown. I think our room was one of the only ones without a balcony, but the place was clean and the breakfast okay. For a pet friendly resort, it was very clean, but I wished I had have known about the pool.

Cape Cod - Birthday

Posted Aug 6, 2013
Location was great, convenient to Provincetown and other locations on the Cape desired. the grounds were only so/so, not kempt as best as possible, but location was great. Staff was freindly enough and breakfast was just enough. Priced competitive and nice that we could use sister hotel (Ptown Inn) to park when visiting that area
