Wonderful!Posted Jan 21, 2015 on Hotels.com
Perfect getaway for a few days of rest & relaxation. From the crackling log fire in the drawing room, to the beautiful meals served in the evening (and breakfast), I can think of nowhere else that I would want to be on a cold, blustery day. I'm looking in my diary now to see when I can return!

Superb gem in SnowdoniaPosted Jan 5, 2015 on Hotels.com
We stayed here to celebrate the New Year. From the moment we arrived until we departed we were looked after by Neil and Marco. They are wonderful hosts, the celebratory meal in The Gun Room with other guests who we had not met before was thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast was very good too with the full Welsh breakfast cooked to perfection! Plas Dinas offers some lovely touches including a roaring fire in the Drawing Room, classical music, chocolates and cafetiere in the bedroom. It was unfortunate that the weather didn't enable us to explore the grounds but Plas Dinas would be stunning without the wind and rain we experienced. Please visit this place if you get the chance - you won't be disappointed!

A very special country house stayPosted Jan 1, 2015 on Hotels.com
From the moment we arrived at Plas Dinas we were made to feel welcome. We were greeted by Neil, shown our rooms and served tea (and chocolate Yule log!) in front of a crackling log fire in the drawing room. What a great start to our visit! This friendliness and quality of service lasted throughout our two night stay. Lots of little touches were in place to make us feel well looked after, from daily newspapers, books games, fresh flowers in the drawing room to tea, ground coffee, fresh milk, biscuits and chocolates in the bedroom. Neil and Marco were friendly and hospitable. They encouraged us to make ourselves at home, told us a little of the history of the house, were happy to answer our queries and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay with them. We especially loved having the use of the drawing room with that inviting log fire when we returned from restaurants in the evenings. Breakfast was another great experience. The menu was varied, the food fresh and tasty, the service excellent and there was even an alternative "light" menu for the calorie conscious. We found the house itself fascinating. Portraits, photos and memorabilia of the Armstrong-Jones family were evident throughout which greatly added to the ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this very special country house. Thank you to Neil and Marco for making it so memorable.

Beautiful Hotel with Fantastic Service. The Quality of the Food served was Excellent, wish we'd had the opportunity/time to sample more! The Owners were friendly & Welcoming, but not intrusive. Although we had some apprehension that 'small' dogs were allowed the Room was spotless. We would highly recommend this Hotel.

little bit of royal historyPosted Sep 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The house has good royal history, Neil and Marco who own/run have done and are doing a wonderful job. Its the little things that matter, only a 15 min drive from Snowdon and there are some lovely places to eat nearby.Neil is very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room and en suite was immaculate. My only concern was the allocated room for me didnt have a proper shower and so had to return to having baths. Although after going up and down Snowdon on foot a bath is what was needed at the end of the day. The robes , slippers and emergency hygiene pack in the drawer was a lovely touch and like the age of the house an 'OLD' saying you get what you pay for.

Location: Ideal for outdoor walking. Not far from Caernarfon historic town.
warm welcome. Chocolates on the bed was impressive. Room clean and lovely-nice selection of drinks and delicious biscuits there. Evening meal was 5* quality even though Marco insisted that he was a cook not a chef!
