Beautiful cottage accommodationPosted Sep 9, 2014
Stayed for only one night. Very clean and comfortable accommodation in a beautiful village. The owners of the property were lovely and very helpful. Would love to have stayed a bit longer.

Very adequate for our needsPosted Aug 12, 2014
We stayed in the charming 1 bedroom cottage that was very adequate for our needs as we were attending a wedding that meant we were out until the early hours. The facilities are, perhaps, a little tired, the bed creaked at every movement especially whilst getting in and out whilst the thin wall to next door was a trifle worrisome. The owners are lovely people only too happy to assist with where to go what to do etc We didn't pay the extra for a cooked breakfast as there was a cooker with adequate kitchen utensils and I did set the smoke detectors off when using the toaster Value for money? Yes just about Would I stay again if in the area? Yes probably

Quiet settingPosted Jun 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
The second floor bedroom had adjoining bathroom and plenty of air circulation. However, the queen bed could use a new mattress and less squeak. A very compact self-serve unit. Two nights were enough.

Great short break destinationPosted Apr 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
I just stayed 1night on business but this was an occasion where that really felt like a lost opportunity. I was in the cottage, a 1bedroom, double plus single, above a lounge and a decent kitchen. Owners were really friendly, village is really lovely, this would be a fantastic place for a weekend or week away

Pros: Liked the quaintness of the building and the peace.
Cons: Some of the hallway decor.
Location: Errdig House is a great national trust property and the Bellis Bros garden centre is good for lunch with fab views.
Very convenient for visiting friends in Wrexham. Owners very welcoming and friendly, and their dog is just such a great character!

Interesting historic building in a lovely villagePosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: Location and friendly reception
Cons: Breakfast menu a little restricted
Location: Lovely area for walks, touring and visits in the north Wales area. The Royal Oak pub nearby does excellent food.
Small friendly guest house in a really quaint old building. Beautifully situated in a village by the River Dee with two good pubs a few steps away. Friendly, old fashioned and family run

Lovely peoplePosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great people, great breakfasts and when I left laptop, iPod and headphones, no problem to parcel on and forward. Good eating at pub on the river, good beer and wine list.
