“Value for money”

I was a bit surprised when we arrived at the hotel because it is all VERY dated, however it was spotlessly clean and it's obvious that the Alexandra is under new ownership and that work is going on in the hotel. The staff were very polite and really eager to please and the food was excellent. The television in the room had freeview but was quite small. The hotel is a couple of hundred yards from the beach and convenient for visiting several places in North Wales. The only problems were the church opposite chiming on the hour, every hour, even through the night and the lack of parking. There is limited parking on the road outside the hotel but you have to move your car before 10.30am, although I suppose most people are off out for the day anyway. I thought the hotel was great value for money and I will definitely be going back :o)

“Best Mothers Day Ever”

A great find, lovely hotel with excellent, friendly staff most notably in the bar with the free coffee and drinks for the kids on arrival. This made the arrival so relaxing, a touch you don’t see so much of these days. Evening Staff was also as accompanying, reception couldn’t do enough for you and as for the breakfast it filled us to the Orme and back and I loved the Black Pud which was good as I also had the wife’s and Daughters. Llandudno was beautiful, walked up the Orme as there were no trams but the weather was gorgeous for this time of year and the views of the coast were breath taking. Wobbly Legs on the descent so popped into the mines for a breather which was an experience. Overall it was a great stay and my wife rated it as the best Mother’s Day Ever

Staff were friendly, room okay although extra bed put into the bedroom for 4th person was broken, no show in the en-suite, basic accommodation.....breakfast was great.

“Friendly and helpful”

First impressions of this hotel were not great, it has a bit of a run down air about it. However, we soon found that the owner and staff were some of the friendliest that we've come across. If you want somewhere shiny and gleaming this is not the place for you, but if you want a comfortable room, friendly atmosphere and a good square meal at a budget price, go for it.

“Dont touch it with a barge pole”

Very dissapointed with standard that was portrayed by expedia ie 3 star. This hotel is as near to run down that we have ever stayed in. No way will we return to this Hotel. There are many other Hotels in Llandudno offering much better accommodation at a similar price

“......cheap and cheerful...”

Based on my room and my experience on the day, this hotel was disorganised looking, the whole building inside and outside still needs a lot doing to it. It was cheerful, but still has that low level look and feel about it. The breakfast was pretty awful. My room was pretty horrible. A blind stylist must have had a hand in this. Once it has been done up completely, hopefully it will be a lot better.
