We want to return with our friends!!Posted Aug 17, 2010
Excellent experience. It is located about 10 minutes from York center by foot. We were able to participate in the local character of the neighborhood including a grocery store, restaurants and church.

Great guest house, great city!Posted Jul 12, 2010
Dalescroft Guest House is located about 10 mins (on foot) from York train station, and 5 mins from the walled-in section of the city. We were made to feel extremely welcome during our stay - the owner was really friendly, we got a great breakfast every morning, and we were given everything we needed (maps, guide-books etc...) to help us get the most out of our time in the city. The rooms are lovely too - spacious en-suite with tv and freeview box. There are also a number of nice cafes and restaurants right beside the house, plus a sainsburies local (which stays open late). So if you're off to York anytime soon, Dalescroft is a perfect spot for your stay!

Charming guest house with great breakfastPosted Jun 3, 2008
Hotel is quiet yet conveniently located - about 10 minute walk to city center. Owner was delightful. Room was clean, tidy and had all conveniences but of course was small. Considering the great breakfast for 2 and the free street parking, this was an excellent value.
