Great holiday break
From the moment we arrived Tina the owner made us very welcome, she was friendly bubberley ensuring everything was ok, our room was very clean, extra bedding if required even a extra heater if you wanted it, breakfast was great arriving nice and hot, with a grest choice, no complaints, Tina was very compassionate after my wife tripped and broke a bone in her wrist when out and about, so will definitely making a return visit .

By far the best small hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Immaculately presented, spotlessly clean, and nothing too much trouble. A real home from home, and we are already planning our next stay!

Two adults and a child in a triple room. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast in the morning was nice, good choice too. Everything we need for our stay. I would recommend this b&b. The lady that ran it was very pleasant indeed. She took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed

A fantastic B&B in a good location
Our stay at the Powys Lodge was excellent. Tina, the host was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfasts are wonderful and the rooms are nice. The only thing to note is if there are any senior members in the group it might be worth requesting a room on the first floor as the second floor involves a few flights of stairs. Good quiet and safe location close to the centre. Would definitely recommend.

What a gem of a place
What a lovely place to stay, we’d never stayed in a B&B before and didn’t know what to expect but this place was perfect. It’s so clean and the host, Tina, is so friendly and makes you feel right at home. Our room was great, as we had a door between us and the kids so they could go to bed and not be disturbed by us. Breakfast was lovely, you ordered what you wanted the night before and put the time you would be down and it came out as you got down. We had such a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Tina our host was friendly and accommodating meeting our every need. Fabulous breakfast with a lot of choices. The room was well furnished and clean. Free parking on-site and on street with permit from Tina. The esplanade was a 10 min walk away. Will definitely stay here again.

B&Bs like this area brilliant at everything they can to have a say in, but it's the luck of the draw when out comes to noisey fellow guests & how much the seagulls make a racket through the night. Everything else was faultless except us finding the single beds rather firm, but that tends to be down to personal choice.

A quiet and comfortable place to stay with a warm and friendly host. The single room has adequate space although the ensuite bathroom was a bit too small for me. The breakfasts were very good as was the location of the accommodation - approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the rail station / town centre.

I found the Powys Lodge Hotel to be a little jem. The Hostess was extremely friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. My room (single) was a delight, everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Food was plentiful and well presented. The restrictions due to covid were in place, but did not deter from the warm welcoming experience. Everyone was safe and well looked after. I Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent stay at Powys Lodge for 3 nights as a single traveller. I was greeted by Tina who was so friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked through the door. She went through the new procedures due to Covid and everything was made safe with social distancing etc. Your table for breakfast was yours throughout your stay. You choose what you want for breakfast when you arrive and also pick your time. The food was really nice. There are tea and coffee making facilities in your room, along with hand wash and shampoo in the bathroom. I stayed in a single ensuite room and it was a good size, with a sofa, wardrobe, tv and a lovely comfy single bed. The bathroom was a little bit small, but because this was a single room and it was only me there, this did not matter. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the town centre/railway station. I preferred to walk to the seafront and then walk along to the town. There is a sainsburys, post office and a couple of takeaways at the top of the road about a 2 min walk from powys Lodge. Parking is no bother here. There are a couple of spaces on the driveway, but if you can’t get in then Tina provides you with a parking permit for on street parking right outside. Excellent friendly service and a lovely stay at Powys Lodge. I would definitely stay here again.

Can't fault it in any way. Stayed two nights on a family break. We were greeted by Tina who was very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know especially concerning Covid safety procedures. Our room was clean, very spacious, comfortable and with a good shower. The breakfast was great on both days and we were given plenty of choice. Location was quiet but still close enough to local shops. We had a nice short walk to the coast and then down to Scarborough front taking in all the views on the way. I recommend going to El Gringos mexican about 5 minutes or so walk away. Loved the food. Clearly a popular place to eat. The kids enjoyed it too. Would definitely stay there again should a room be available for our next family trip. Many thanks Tina for being so accommodating to us all.
