Recently modernized and very clean.Posted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Cons: The single room I had was very cramped - so a larger room would be one improvement. Similarly with the bathroom - the sink and the shower (as reporte
Location: It was on a fairly busy street near a roundabout, not much close by pof much interest.
Clean and comfortable, with excellent cooked breakfast included. The one drawback was that I had a singleroom and was very cramped; there was hardly room for my two suitcases to be in the room. Also I found the bathroom very cramped. I am a small person but I could hardly get into the shower. I had to have both right-angled sliding doors open to get in. Also the sink wasn't really a sink at all, simply a flat piece of porcelain slightly curved at the ends so that it hardly held enough water to wash in and water was on the floor very easily. Other than that it was clean, the staff was friendly and they served an excellent cooked breakfast included in the price.

A little shabby but not all badPosted Dec 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel is little shabby and looked in need of a refurb. My bathroom floor was freezing and the room was pretty small! However the staff where friendly, the bar prices where good and wifi was free and worked well. The location was close to town centre so was handy.

GOOD VALUE...Posted Nov 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
On arrival,.the receptionist was extremely welcoming, and we felt at home straight away. Our room was very well presented, and extremely clean and tidy. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional. A very very nice hotel. We would have expected to have paid at least double for our room and breakfast, so it was very good value for money. A stay at The Baltimore Hotel, is a must, and you won't be disappointed..

Great StayPosted Oct 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
We were invited to Middlesbrough for a wedding of an old work colleague. A few people already having visited said "enjoy your night then" in that tone of voice. We arrived just as the football was finishing however found the hotel (with the help of SatNag) very easily. The room although by the stairs was set back along a personal room corridor and we heard no noise from anyone through the evening before going out or during the night. Our evening out was fabulous taking in a few local bars first again everyone very welcoming and friendly. The staff at the hotel were very well presented helpful with information and arranging a taxi not the we really needed one but High heels and walking don't go together for me. The taxi company on collecting us later texted us to say that they were waiting outside which was great. The hotel was a bit dated in decor but there were no marks or tears - the towels were brand new - the room was warm but not too hot - breakfast was more than first class. Would recommend the Hotel followed by a night out in Middlesbrough to everyone.

Basic accommodation, bathrooms need a bit of updating, but on the whole reasonable for the night. Chef cooks the meanest burger......probably the best I've ever eaten (I've eaten in all the top London restaurants) and Susan on reception was helpful, efficient and friendly. Slight little failings in hotel maintenance were completely forgiven due to level of service from the staff
