At our speedy check in we ordered a bottle of prosecco for the room and no sooner had we put our bags down there was knock at the door - an obviously stressed waiter with the bottle in an ice bucket and two glasses (warm) both of which were thrust into my hands, whilst I was still holding the door open
' Do you want me to open it ?' I decided no as obviously he wanted to be else where.
Not what we call room service - yes the bottle was quickly delivered but there was no service. Where was the tray, where was the greeting,.... 'warm' glasses'- we may as well have bought one at a supermarket. There was a wedding going on and obviously they took priority!
This was our second visit and sad to say not as enjoyable, since then possibly we have stayed in 'nicer' hotels and it did come across rather dated and 3*, not individuality we remembered and the dinner menu was very predictable pub grub. All the dog friendly extras were there which is a nice touch but at £15 it would be a nice gesture to offer a doggie breakfast. Not sure if we will stay again or look elsewhere
