Good food,Posted Oct 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The food was very good all the time, even though the service was very slow on the first night. Good ales served from small barrels and so there was regular changes. It is just off the main road, but the noise was not intrusive. We would have had a lovely relaxing stay if it was not for the bed in room 9 giving me back ache. The rooms could do with a freshen up, but would we stay there again? Yes.

Great food.Posted Oct 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great food and good real ale. Room very comfortable, but a room above the bar can be a bit noisy if you are having an early night.

Not what I was expecting.Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom needed a tidy. it could have been only this room
Location: Don't know as it was an in between stop for us
I thought we would be staying in the pub but it turned out the rooms were outside and we had to buzz to get someone to let us in as the pub was closed at the time until 6.30pm. We had upgraded to a superior room and to be fair it was perhaps spoiled by the standard of the hotel we had stayed in the night before. The room was large and clean and we were very pleased with it. A let down was the bathroom, it was ok and clean it just didn't look it with water stains out side the shower and a badly sealed base unit along with a miss matched toilet seat. I do not mean this as a complaint only an observation as it was ok. The breakfast included was very good and I felt that overall it was good value for money. We had a meal in the bar and although the food was a bit on the expensive side but it was well worth it and the one member of staff that we dealt with could not have been more helpful. I would stay there again.

fine for a night or two at the price. room ok, clean and reasonably comfortable. Good food. Staff all helpful, good service. Close to a busy-ish road.

The food was exceptional, rooms cleaned every day and staff very friendly as well as the locals in the pub. had a great time. the hotel is central to most of the tourist areas. traffic noise is a small problem but you get use to it. if we go to the area again we will most definitely be staying again. Thank you

Good 'motel'Posted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The food and service are excellent, rooms in the old building are a bit small, but we were offered a free upgrade to one of the newly built external rooms which were much nicer.
