Very basic

Pros: A good laugh
Cons: Just about everything except the staff perhaps
Location: Went to Northallerton for a pub crawl which was brilliant!
Although it was extremely basic accommodation the staff was very pleasant, the entertainment and customers interesting the breakfast, included, was brilliant!

Friendly breakfast service

A simple hotel very handy for the Wensleydale Railway and its great scenery, the bar seemed to shut very early but the breakfast service was good and very attentive.

Hotel from hell

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Demolition and staff who are professional and care.
Location: Northallerton is a nice town to look around.
An absolute nightmare!!!! Filthy and smelly on arrival. The Reception area was dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned for some considerable time. Not at all welcoming. The whole hotel smelt of stale cooking oil which was particularly strong in the bedroom. The bedroom had a filthy headboard, and was generally dirty and very dated. By opening the bedroom window to try and alleviate the cooking oil smell there was a constant stream of loud traffic noise. Within an hour of arriving we checked out having secured alternative accommodation. There was no way that we would have eaten in such disgusting conditions. A filthy hole. Avoid it like the plague.

Just a nice quiet stop in the middle of the UK

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Very easy on and off the motorway.
Cons: Just a little more adult help
The adults were gone? The food service was horrible. The room was comfortable and clean
