“A great old fashioned hotel”

A great old fashioned city type hotel in wacky Northampton. Rooms are small but neat. This is a very romantic place to stay.

“LOVED IT!!!”

This hotel is right in the heart of downtown Northampton, which is what I wanted. The hotel was first opened in 1927 and is as charming as can be. It has an old colonial feel, but modern ammenities. There is free parking, excellent and friendly service, and even a small excercize room! I've stayed in several different hotels in the area and so far this is my absolute favorite!

“A Short Stay For Daughters Graduation”

The thing about rating a place is that it begins with expectation. Do I/you expect the same amenities, size and creature comforts as when staying in a large resort hotel ? Of course not. Its a historic hotel in the heart of Northampton. Our room was small but the bed was wonderful. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The fact that you walk out the door right into this beautiful town made it all the better. I would reccomend and stay there again.

“Exercise Room will Disappoint”

This hotel is very well located in Northampton, but it is old and very much showing its age. You have to enter the hotel from the parking lot by carrying your luggage up a steep staircase. Not bad if you like this kind of exercise. The hotel claims to have an exercise room, but its equipment is at least 20 years old and barely functional. For examples, the single elliptical trainer was lacking its electronic control, and the seat on the single exercise bike defied adjustment. I did not feel it was a good risk to use the single treadmill.
