My wife and I wanted to explore a county we'd never stayed in before. Murcott Mill Farmhouse, Long Buckby & West Haddon gave us the best introduction to Northants we could have wished for! We had 2 days to explore, and were blessed with excellent weather - but would have felt very much 'at home' in the farmhouse B & B for the whole time. We were given a very warm welcome by the family, the dogs, and the atmosphere of the house. Thank you!

after a 200 mile drive the hotel was easy to find ,just off the motorway.
ample parking available , we found the staff very friendly and approachable ,checkin was after 3pm. ,we arrived early ,so they made a room available. we had access to the leisure facilities ,which like the hotel was quiet and not busy.
breakfast was included , which was very good and well presented. we would certainly visit this hotel again.

We have visited a lot of hotels but have never had the service that we received at the Langham hotel. The owners couldn't do enough to help they were friendly and cheerful and, the breakfast was served up hot and fresh every morning. We would certainly go back back again if we are ever in Northampton.

I stayed here last week with my mother and 3 children from NZ. I had previously stayed at Ibi>?" over the road, and this was miles better. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, as were all staff we met. The interconnecting rooms had a great view and were spacious, with wonderful rain showers. The kids LOVED the pools on the ground floor - a definite bonus for parents traveling with perpetually-active children. The breakfast is well worth the money with a full English breakfast, a range of delicious fruits and other foods. Avoid the coffee though - it was constantly bitter - and the poached eggs which tasted of vinegar. The hotel is located one block from the heart of the town, and so great for exploring round the market square and surrounding shops. For a fabulous lunch, take a 20 minute drive to Market Harborough to the Italian chain Zizzi on the main road - the food there was divine, and kept the kids entertained and filled. For dinners, we grabbed bread, ham and cheese from a supermarket - the one in Kingsthorpe (where my grandparents lived) is great, and only 10 minutes away. To support the local rugby team, drive to their shop (about 6 mins from the hotel) and stock up on bumper stickers and merino scarfs. Overall, we were VERY pleased with the hotel, and will definitely be back, and will search out this chain in future.
