Nice location but..

Booked this hotel because there were spa facilities etc..get to the hotel, the beautician is on maternity leave, a branded hotel like the marriott does not employ maternity cover, so no spa facilities for 9 months! Very disappointing. Was very warm in rooms, asked for AC, we got a portable AC with warm air coming out..comfortable beds, friendly staff during breakfast, and peaceful location.

Nice hotel

Very relaxed time, staff very helpful. Clean tidy. I would say food and drink were abit pricey but food was very good.

Nice experience staff were very helpful. No fridges though especially in the summer. Apart from that was good.

Loss of water to our room on Sunday morning meant that we couldn't flush the toilet or have a proper bath. We stayed at the hotel to dress up in style for a Golden Wedding celebration and this was obviously upset. We complained to reception and was told to talk to Expedia. No offer or discount was offered.

overnite stay

Stayed 1 night on way back from EDC concert at milton keynes. Service was good on check in & room was clean & very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good. Would stay here again & recommend it. Book the breakfast when you book the room, £10 for two people, cheaper than a motorway cafe in fact cheaper than a greasy spoon & better.

Disappointing

Pros: The restaurant staff
Cons: Where to start?! Not suitable for children.
Location: Not much around the hotel so you would need a reason to to stay unless you enjoy golf. There are far better golf resorts.
On arrival there were two wedding receptions in progress. Getting to the bar was a nightmare and we were unable to sit outside since all seats were taken by wedding guests plus the fact the seating was both uncomfortable and limited. The staff were nice enough but my request for two bath robes was never fulfilled. The room was dated with a small uncomfortable bed, no refrigerator and one of those tiny hair dryers that you have to hold down a button to make work. The food was average with a limited menu for a person with eating issues. The steak was over cooked. Also worth noting that the air conditioning didn't work so we needed to open the window. There is a terrific amount of road noise. The only place this hotel scores points is on the friendliness of the front facing staff - particularly the girls in the restaurant.

Good and bad points

Good - nice hotel, staff generally fairly helpful. Restaurant food good although menu little limited. Bad - location not great although compensated by good value for stay
