Pros: It was in walking distance of a couple of restaurants
Cons: Remodeling
Location: Not too familiar with the area was only there to pick up family members and bring the back to VA
The hotel needs to be renovated. The room wasn't dirty but it had a stench to it when we walked in. The front desk clerk was very polite and upbeat. I was looking for the business center as it stated on the website only to find out there wasn't one. The lobby is a turn off as well rust all on the walls. I also asked about the fitness center that the website mentioned oh that was being renovated. When I went to take a shower the shower head came off and it was very rusty the shower made a very loud noise as if it was a car motor.I was not at all pleased, luckily this stay was only for a few hours.

The pictures look nothing like this motel. It's run down and dated. We peered through the windows to see old, tattered bed linens and dirty-looking rugs. There was general maintenance needed everywhere. The metal stairs were rusty, the cement was cracked everywhere, and the pool umbrellas looked like they were a decade old. The lobby had no air conditioning and had flies everywhere. We refused to check in.One word...YUCK!

Convenient location

Pros: Location to relatives home that we were visiting
Cons: Breakfast. We have stayed other places where a good warm breakfast was provided and liked that much better.
Arrived early before check-in. Desk person told us she would call on cell when a room was ready. No call so we went to hotel. Desk person stated she called and left a message but no message on husband's phone. We had asked for a first floor room. When we arrived one hour after the supposed call that our room was available, we were told that there was nothing ready yet because there was a new "Indian" cleaning rooms and there was a communication problem. We took a room on the second floor. (We never could understand why we were told the front desk called at 1:00pm and left a message on our phone - which we never found - and when we arrived at 2:00pm there was no first floor room ready because it hadn't been cleaned by the new "Indian" help.) Hot breakfast was nothing special and no room to sit.

Cons: Hot free breakfast, more comfortable beds, more remodeling.
My reason for staying overnight at this location was because there was a lacrosse tournament nearby that my daughter was participating in. It was a two day event and the location was two hours from my home so I didn't want to do all that driving. I stayed here because Ramada's used to be very nice hotels. This one is not one of them. The hotel is old and is in desperate need of further updating. I can tell that they have done some recent updating, but there is still a lot of work to be done. I will say the room was very clean, most likely new paint and new carpet. The bathroom was not nice, it still needed work, the bathroom sink was messed up when you turned it to cold water hot water came out and when you turned it to hot cold water came out. We had a double bed room, the beds were very hard and seemed smaller than a queen, they were probably full size. The main thing that was extremely irritating was the smoke alarm kept going off when someone took a shower. I called the front desk to complain and she did absolutely NOTHING! The free breakfast was minimal, some pastries, cereal, oatmeal, OJ and coffee. I've paid less for hotel stays that had AMAZING free HOT breakfasts, I just don't understand why all hotels can't offer this service. I wouldn't stay here again but it did the job for a reasonable cost, so I guess I can't complain too much. The thing is, if they made some simple upgrades it would be a GREAT hotel.

This property is not well kept. When the doors letting potental customers in are locked at midnight, that should send up a flare. If I had known ahead of time what I was signing up for, I would have not picked this place. You should not rely on your partner's narrative and pictures. Send your staff to look.

Good stay in Edgewood MD

Cons: Better computer server in the business center.
Location: NE of Baltimore; easy drive to Inner Harbor, Aberdeen or Havre de Grace.
The Ramada Edgewood is a reasonably priced hotel very near I-95 in Edgewood MD, in the NE Baltimore suburbs. Close to plenty of restaurants and shopping, convenient to the interstate ramps. Staff was efficient and solved a couple of problems including a left-behind cell phone. Free breakfast was continental only, no hot items. Place looked recently refurbished, although the business center computers were slow, and cost an additional (small) fee to use. Room was clean and comfy, good shower, in-room fridge, coffee and microwave. Easy drive to Baltimore, Aberdeen, or the Chesapeake shore. Stayed two nights attending an anniversary party. Would use again.
