Posted May 1, 2014

Perfect.

My girlfriend and I spent three nights here and it was the perfect place for a relaxing beach vacation. Literally step outside and you're on the beach. The beach and the hotel itself are beautiful. The Inn is in a small village, but the beach and the hotel itself feel like a private island. The cabins are very clean and nicely decorated, and the beds are comfortable. The family that runs the Inn is extremely friendly and helpful down to the smallest child; if you need something they'll make it happen. The restaurant in the Inn is all fresh food and delicious (we ate their all three nights, each got something different every time, and weren't disappointed once). The owner also speaks perfect English so if you're not a Spanish-speaker don't worry. The only downsides I would mention are 1) although they do a great job keeping the 100 or so feet of beach right in front of the hotel very clean, some parts beyond that are a little littered, and 2) you're not right in the Tela itself, which can be great for the privacy but also means that you need to get a taxi to and from the city (which is really not a big deal or expensive), but not all the taxis know the hotel by name. Although we didn't have a problem, I could see it being a little hard finding the hotel at first. That being said, they offer a great service where they give you a free phone (no charge for use) to call them and they'll personally come pick you up if you're in a pinch. If you have the chance, go!
