“Peace at the beach with sunset over the ocean.”

This was a good home base for exploring Nazare and environs. We weren't interested in the spa experience, just a nice hotel with reasonable rates in a beach town in summer. This fit the bill. It's a car ride from the town, but quiet, with a great view of the harbor and ocean sunsets. We had no children this trip, but it seemed nice for families, with pools large and small, inside and out, and good breakfast included.

Although there was some remodeling being done the staff was very attentive to make sure that we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The ocean side rooms had wonderful views. My wife and I will definitely stay here again.

Whether you like modern european styling or not, you will like the amenities that come with the Miramar Sul. Every room has a balcony, there is a single free computer just off the lobby, and there is a great infinity pool and lounging area with a large expanse of concrete decking and covered eating area.. The views from the bar patio and restaurant on the 4th floor are sweeping and you feel truly above it all. You need to drive here or else you are walking a reasonable distance downhill to arrive at the beachfront town. The buffet breakfast, so typical of nice hotels in this category, lacked depth in the protein area, and the property was showing a little deferred maintenance. However, if I were to stay in Nazare again, I would definitly stay here.

“Review”

Most everything was good, but the cleaning service for the room was very poor.
