Too far out of town. No rep on hand for help

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff were very helpful, polite and did make us feel welcome. They looked after bus very well. Shame Expedia didn't do the same
Cons: Have a rep available for any assistance that may be wanted.
Location: Nothing within half hour walk for nearest village and then nor a lot there
No rep on hand to help with problems. Left to self to sort out any problem. Not good Would not use again because was left to sort any problem by self. There was no customer service provided once there you are on your own. Very disappointing on first time of using big company never again

spectacular sunsets. Wonderful rooms with great views. Excellent staff. Great place for dinner. Would have stayed a couple of days longer for further relaxation.

Pros: location
Cons: See my experience writings
Location: Nice small city with good restaurants coooking sea food
There were a lot of thing that are not appropriate for a 4 stars hotel: - it seems nobody cleaned the balcony for eternity. Border glass was very dirty and there was spider net betwen neighbourhood's balconys - big hole in the center of a curtain - sea-view room was only half sea view and other half was a pine-tree view - plastic caps - it's a shame - wi-fi was working only in the toilet (i tried several devices) - it's not possible to get from there to the ocean's coast by foot. There is a shuttle but it goes very rare and it paid

Not for couples

Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: The staff at the reception was nice and competent
Cons: Too many children for a couple looking for a restful place
Location: Very isolated. You need a care to go anywhere.
The hotel is located on the top of the hill in Nazaré. It is absolutely not possible to walk anywhere. There is a shuttle offered by the hotel to go downtown but it is not frequent enough. It is a place for families, not couples looking to rest near the pool. Although we were given an upgrade upon arrival, we were disapointed by the room which was not very clean. I pointed out to the reception that the fridge did not seem to be working and that an half eaten chocolate bar had been left in it. Two days later, it was still there and the fridge had not been repaired.

Lovely accommodations

Pros: Beautiful pool and room with a view.
Cons: Needed to drive to get to anywhere
Location: Nice quiet spot but well away from the beach
Wonderful hotel. Need a car to get there though and to places around that you will want to see. Although there is a shuttle to the beach.
