The location of the property was desirable because of the location within the castle walls . The biggest issue was getting to the property. We travelled through Portugal by car and specifically booked accommodations that offered parking free or paid. This property listed that hotel parking was available. It turns out this isn't so. To make matters worse we weren't even able to drive to the property but we weren't advised, so google maps kept directing us up to the property and when we couldn't get there, we had to drive around the castle walls and detour back. We did this twice. Eventually we parked on the road and walked in. The person at the reception desk told us they do not have parking and the road closure was new, but I guess nobody thought it might be a good idea to inform incoming guests! Good thing we were able to walk. The room was not what we expected, it looked nothing like the pictures. The hotel advertised laundry and bar onsite, thère was no laundry available and the bar was closed. The only thing good about the hotel is the location. If you go to Obidos I strongly recommend staying in a neighbouring town and making Obidos a day trip.

Perfect for a short stay in Obidos
Check in simple and quick. Room to small really staying 6 nights. Housekeeping excellent. Breakfast basic but perfectly acceptable. The lift was out of action the whole duration of our stay and the stairs not easy to walk up for the older generation so that made life difficult. All said we would stay again.

Stay within the wall city. Free parking is located outside the wall in a large parking lot shared with day visitors. Breakfast was very good, continental style. Staff was friendly and helpful with dining options outside and inside the wall city. Would highly recommend a stay here. No air conditioning, however a fan with the window open was very adequate

A convenient comfortable historic location.
I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at Rainha Santa Isabel Hotel or The Obidos History Hotel. It was right in the historic district yet very close to where you can catch the bus to other locations. The owners were exceptionally gracious, and I enjoyed the included breakfast very much. The view from my window was wonderful. When I look to the left, I could see the castle, and when I look to the right, I could see other historic buildings.

I loved the location in the center of the walled city, the blankets in the closet had a musty smell and the window was too high to see out of but other than that it was a great stay. We have found it challenging to find a room to accommodate four people comfortably and this one did!

We had a very difficult time finding this place! It's right in the main street that's packed with people--good luck getting your car down the road! We had to carry our suitcases from outside the walls, where we parked. It's a charming hotel though and great location. Breakfast could have been better; pretty much just some fruit and breads.

明明可以給客人停車許可證，確不給，害我多花停車費停在外圍付費停車場，後來看到別台車上有他們飯店放有該飯店的停車許可證，才跟櫃檯硬要到，實在很惡劣

It’s not well conserved. The bed sheets wasn’t cleaned. The breakfast was poor and there was lots of mosquitos. I like de location very much it was the reason we stay there another time.

Great location! Great staff!
Impressed by the great location of the hotel (right in the middle of the old city) and they allow you to park inside the old city with a pass which is a plus. 4 beds room is ok (204) Main Street side with nice view! No tv (no need), internet. Only thing is that it has a bunk bed where the top bed doesn’t have a banister so felt insecure about risking falling down...

Nice hotel, nice staff, great spot. Medieval experience wich include medieval smell in the bathroom. Bad insulation, wich was kind of expected.

The hotel is very well located right in the Main Street of Obidos. Breakfast is tasty. They have a designated area for parking for free. The only down side is that they are currently in a remodel so no AC, TV, and many other things until they finish. Other than that we loved it and would go back.

Quaint village
While the hotel is very centrally located, it is very difficult to get to by car. A gentleman, possibly the owner, helped us manuever the car through the winding narrow streets to the hotel. This was very appreciated. The hotel could use a bit of upgrading but was clean and worth the price and good location. Obidos is a charming old village but with way too many tourists. ,

Pleasantly surprised!
Great location located on main street. Rooms were surprisingly quiet as it seems the town completely shuts down at a reasonable hour. We loved the old rustic look of the hotel. Basic breakfast but sufficient. Beds much too uncomfortable; service wonderful.

This was a horrible hotel. The bathtub did not drain properly and if you ran the sink while it was draining the bathtub drain burgled and dirt came up through the drain. The floors were filthy as was the bedding on the bed my son had. I have pictures to show the bedding and the bathroom. We did report this to the front desk. They did say they reported it to someone but we still could not have a proper shower. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cosy room in a wonderful place
Love Obidos and the hotel is right on the street in the center. Was difficult to get there with the car (I suggest you always call to ask for directions), but once we arrived, the checkin process was quick.Rooms are not modern, but reflect the local buildings. Would definitely stay there again. Although the hotel has wifi, I didn't manage to connect from the room.

Take the bus to Ibidos.
The hotel was quaint and comfortable. It has the qualities of a nice hunting lodge. The breakfast was a nice filling breakfast in a very pleasant dining room. The hotel is very distant from the rail station and the road connecting the rail station to the town is quite taxing. I recommend anyone relying on public transit should come to Ibidos by bus because the bus stop is very close to the hotel. A much better choice!

the town of obidos was beautiful . the hotel was convenient and clean but that is all . it was dark and gloomy . no one on reception and door handle was broken . no pillows on bed only small cushions . disappointing.
