Not recommended for families

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness of room
Cons: Do not allow other guests to be disrespectful to others.
Location: Lots to do.
Had a bad incident occur while there. Took our family to the beautiful beach at Las Palomas. Two young men came down with a big boombox / cooler blaring rap music with many of the worse cuss words you could imagine, right in front of my two young children. I found a worker with Las Palomas and explained the situation to him, he came down, talked to the men and shook their hand and then left. And the awful music continued. It's like the men knew him or paid him or something. We had to leave the beach and did not return. It was just awful. I would not recommended this place for families, I thought with paying such a high price that it would be good for families but it wasn't. Shame on those two men. Also upon arrival the underground parking smelled of sewage and our wi fi did not work in our room the entire time.

Pros: Clean, spacious rooms, lots of fun things for the grandchildren. Try the mangos sold on the beach!
Cons: A hotel with a "lazy river" should also have floating devices. Unfortunately you must bring your own. No tells you before you go.
Location: Full grocery store near by and they take USD. Several restaurants also near. Hwy 8 under construction. Way to Sandy beach not clear.
Fun place for families. Sea shells galore. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Tides go way out 100's of yards for great beach walking/running.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

Posted Jul 5, 2014
We stayed in Phase II Cortez. Spectacular view. The condo was more than enough room for our family of 2 adults 2 children and 1 infant. Comfortable bed, large kitchen, laundry room and nice balcony. We swam in all of the pools and enjoyed the nice clean sandy beach. Water at Beach was warm and just perfect. The bar staff at the pool could be a little more friendly. Overall we will be going back to this resort.

Beyond amazing

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Las Palomas is amazing! Our stay was awsome. Everywhere you go there will be imperfections some were elevators had no air, I had requested to stay in the 1st 2nd or 3rd floor do to having 2 small boys and I'm afraid of heights but we were given a room on the 10th floor. Our room water went out while I was in shower but once we called they immediately fixed it.

8th floor with balcony view of pools and ocean

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Clean and television service excellent for kids
Location: El Melachon is where we went to buy souvenirs and ate dinner
Excellent, wish I was there more days. Room was equipped with all things needed, washer n dryer (just take your soap and softner) Dishes and appliances all there. Even wine opener. Pools were nice and cool/clean also. Beach not so great, jelly fish seen, so going in the ocean was not going to happen for us. I did see some kids get stung. Not enough places to eat at hotel if you don't feel like cooking. Had to go in town which you kinda risk your health. Some of our friends were sick after eating out (diarrhea). Just take plenty of bottled water. Sams club was safe to buy food and just cook in your room. I didn't know, but Sams has as box that provides all the stuff needed to cook for about a week, such as seasonings, cooking oils and other stuff, ask about it. Would like to go again in near future.

Nice Hotel/Poor Attitude

Posted Jun 24, 2014
The hotel itself is amazing, very specious, clean, loved the decor, the area, the pool, the bar, amazing. However, the staffs attitude made me not want to come back. Their attitude towards others is just sorry, they took for ever to take orders at the bar, they never greeted with a smile at the front desk, at times I felt as if I was bugging them when I had questions. One should not feel like this at a hotel. Would I go again? Yes, but I would opt for a hotel with friendlier service.
