This is an inexpensive hotel but 5 star staff!

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: The staff were AMAZING!
Cons: The hotel should publish hotel rates for other hotels in the area so that people realize how inexpensive their stay is.
Location: Loved the area ... Lots of ethnic restaurants, genuine people, and inexpensive places to shop!
I knew that this was going to be a cheaper stay and I did not have a problem with it because the hotel has a lot of amenities that should have pushed the cost higher (close to metro, free shuttle, next to local shopping). I am not going to tell you that this was a perfect room but for what I paid ... I was extremely satisfied! The staff was EXTREMELY nice, helpful, and happy. I could not have been happier with my first experience to Washington DC.

Problems with room

Posted Mar 15, 2014
The room heater was broken - I mean case was torn off, no grill - and I couldn't control the heat - so it was either full on (too hot) or off (too cold). The remote did'nt work either - so I had to get out of bed - common really??? And the bathroom looked like it came out of 1963.

Decent inexpensive hotel. No frills but good value

It was overall good. Don't expect lots of frills, but it's a clean comfortable room at a decent price near to DC

Shady hotel

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing. I actually didn't get much sleep I was so concerned for my safety.
Cons: Cleanliness, lighting, friendliness of staff - everything should be improved!
Location: Run away and fly away. It's 5 mi from Reagan.
This hotel was pretty awful. My flight was unexpectedly canceled at midnight so I had to find a place to rest fast. I wish I had stayed at the airport. The check in was through a glass window, which 1) why is a glass window needed? and 2) at the very least, it would have been nice if the lobby was lit. When I walked in the room, the tv and lights were on, like someone was there. The walls were thin and I could hear everything going on next door. I know you get what you pay for, but comfort and safety should be a given, even for a budget hotel. The bed was fine but there was stains on the carpet and chairs for sitting. Definitely would not recommend.

Ohkay Hotel...

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Stayed in a smoking room which was all the way in the back of the hotel, no numbers on the door, and it was very scary to be so far from the actual lobby. Staffing was Ohkay, except for one Gentleman who acted very rude & unprofessional when my bf asked if he knew of anyChipotle's around. It was an Ohkay stay, just wasn't the greatest tis all.

Close to the city but......

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Close access in and out of DC. Our room was clean but the property needs a LOT of work! It's pretty beat up. Nice staff though.

worst hotel!!

Pros: they have smoking rooms.
Cons: everything!!!...
Location: great location (only good thing about this hotel) you are near to buses, metro station, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
we arrive following the check in time on website (2 pm)...they make us wait till 3 pm to check in. Their excuse was that website is not updated.

Wow. The worst hotel in dc area.

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Rude hotel staff. Room wasn't even vaccumed. The tub and toilet were broken. The tv was cracked in half and their was like 4 channels. All the channels were static. Everything was stained. I asked the front desk to fax 1 paper and she wouldn't even do that. Pay the extra 10 bucks and stay some where else.
