unfriendly staff

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: design
unfriendly staff who give you a weird rude look even when you are out side and instead of welcoming you when you are getting in and out they would just run away to the inside office! weak customer service and coffee machine is not working and they do NOT know how to fix it.

What happened to this place???

Posted Apr 10, 2014
I have booked at this hotel on a number of occasions for convenience flying in and out of Dulles. Previously felt like it was worth the slightly farther proximity. This last stay was awful. Checked into a dirty room with burned out lights, moved to a room with stains and obvious wear and tear. The bar was out of nearly everything, and staff was embarrassed and apologetic. Grabbed food at the gas station in the parking lot. Very sad to see it go downhill like this. Was a fun and comfortable layover.

Mediocre

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: I could turn on the fan for white noise
Cons: LOTS
Location: Work
Not the best hotel. I was super impressed that I got to choose my breakfast the night before and put down a time to pick it up. Ended up waiting 20 minutes for it and was late for a business meeting. Mediocre at best

Newer hotel near Dulles

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: cleanliness, easy of access to rooms
Cons: there were no towels when we arrived, rectified quickly by a call to the front desk.
Was very happy that this was not under a flight pattern. We slept well the night we stayed.

Beautiful and affordable hotel. Was there on business and the staff was friendly and I really enjoyed the in house bar and late night snacks. Can't wait to go back!

Avoiding Winter Storm Titan

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Free Internet.
Cons: On site restaurant would be nice.
Location: Nothing in the immediate vicinity. You have to travel to Brambleton about three miles to the south.
I stayed here to be close to my place of employment during the recent winter storm instead of commuting back and forth to work. The room as always was clean and comfortable. But the real benefit is the free Internet. The price per night was also a plus compared to the other hotels in the area. There isn't a restaurant on site, but the hotel next door does have one. This a good value per the price.

Mmm...If I was an intoxicated 20 something

Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: Lobby and leaving
Cons: CLEAN
Location: no comment, was there for less than 6 hours to catch a connecting flight
If I had more time, I would have walked out my room asked for refund and walked to the hotel next door. I got in at nearly midnight, the entry was very chic and hip, definitely for a 20 something crowd and seemed very pleasing. The lobby was definitely modeled after the club scene. The room layout was nice, a lot of cool features, very modern, but their were dark brown stains all over the carpets and the bed sheets were stained as well. If I were intoxicated, this would be the perfect place to crash, as I wouldn't notice any of this but I wasn't, so I did notice. After a long day of cancelled and delayed flights and the morning coming early, I jumped in, prayed I would not contract anything and tried to sleep. I was attracted to the price of the hotel, so I guess you get what you pay for? Not sure if that applies to hotels that cost at least one benjamin per night. Definitely won't be coming back.

Hotel in middle of nowhere

Posted Feb 23, 2014
When I came to check in at noon I was told that they did not have any king beds available until later in the evening. Took a temporary double bed to put my bags in before work. Resturaunt not open for lunch and no food in gift shop. Had to go across the street to gas station. No restaurants near by. Ordered a 130pm van to airport did not leave till 140pm. Rest of stay was great!! Desk clerk during day not that welcoming or helpful!!

Clean, comfortable, and well priced

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Needed a place to stay, and this was a first time experience with Aloft, and it was a good hotel that is not bad for an over night stay. The rooms are set up a little differently then the traditional hotel rooms. and the room was clean. Also liked that check out time was at noon.
